Tucked in between pine trees, overlooking a glittering lake, under a starry sky, sits the Parker Lake House. We dreamed of it for years before it became ours and we have successfully created a place of rest, to reconnect with your kids, your friends, and yourself. So put on slippers and sit near the fire, sip on an Old Fashioned, cozy up after a day of skiing at Cascade, and sink into the hot tub as the sun sets around you. Come experience Wild Wisconsin, where good times abound. **Our home is meant to be a welcoming, quiet and relaxing family/friends getaway. If you are looking for a place to host parties or bachelor/bachelorette locations, this is not it. We expect our guests to respect nature and the relaxing comfort that lake neighbors enjoy all year round. *8 guests are included in the nightly rate. For groups larger than 8, there is a $100/per person/per night fee for each guest past 8.* Enjoy time with family or friends in the spacious living room or kitchen area overlooking the lake. Drink your coffee or read a book and sit in the screened porch as the breeze brings the smell of pine and summer. The house provides three separate bedrooms each with a queen bed. There is an additional bunk bed room with 2 bunkbeds and 2 single beds. There is a main living room space, kitchen area, screened porch, basement area and three bathrooms. One bathroom is attached to the main bedroom. Step outside and sit at the patio while the kids (and adults) play in the sand or in the lake. Jump off the floating dock and when the sun sets, grab the marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey's to enjoy a gooey s'more. All of this is for your rest and enjoyment! We ask that while staying here to please maintain quiet hours after 10pm until 8am. This keeps our neighbors happy who also are enjoying some rest and refreshment :) Additionally, because our home is on a septic system, we ask that guests be mindful of water usage. We want you to be comfortable, and you are welcome to use items like the washer and dryer. We simply ask that you keep this to a minimum or ensure it is a full load of laundry if you should decide to use it. Finally, because our home is on a lake and debris tends to drift around from time to time, you may see bogs our weeds near our lakefront and dock. This is normal occurrence and part of lake life, but we do our best to keep it cleared for guests. ***DOCK WILL BE OUT OF THE WATER MID OCTOBER THROUGH MAY.** Kayaks available as long as lake allows. Please reach out before your stay to make sure they are out. Room by Room Details ENTRANCE Walking up to the front entrance you'll see an area for outdoor dining, great for an outdoor brunch. Upon entering our home, you'll find plenty of jacket hooks and space to put things. There is a full bathroom with a tub shower near the front entrance as well. PRIMARY BEDROOM The primary bedroom is on the main level and has a queen bed with comfortable bedding, two nightstand with lighting, and an en suite full bathroom with a standing shower and separate bath tub. SECOND BEDROOM Down the hallway is our second bedroom with a queen sized bed with cozy bedding, two nightstand, and a dresser. This bedroom is directly off the kitchen area. KITCHEN/DINING AREA Our kitchen is spacious and can handle preparing larger meals. There is adequate prep space with counters and the island, and a couple of bar stools at the island if you need additional dining space. There is a large refrigerator, a gas range stovetop and oven, several coffee brewing methods, a microwave, toaster, a plug in roaster, and even a waffle maker for adventurous breakfasts, among many other items. The dining table is just off the kitchen for easy serving. LIVING ROOM This is one of our favorite spaces. Our living room has gorgeous views overlooking the lake and beach area, and is a sight to behold year round. There's plenty of seating for conversations, movie watching, or quiet reading time. We love turning on the gas fire place and spending time in this room. SUN ROOM Just off the kitchen and living room is the sun room. This room provides additional dining and seating options with wicker furniture and windows all around. It is a 3 season area and gets cold in the winter months. Just outside the sun room is our outdoor cooking area where the Blackstone gas grill is located. LOWER LEVEL BATHROOM For the downstairs guests there is a spacious full bathroom with a standing shower. LOWER LEVEL BEDROOM Down the hallway on the lower level we have a bedroom with a queen bed, comfortable bedding, side tables, and lighting. LOWER LEVEL BUNK ROOM Across from the downstairs queen bedroom is our bunk room which can sleep up to 6 with 2 sets of bunk beds and 2 single beds. This room is particularly fun for kids and has books to read and eye catching decor. LOWER LEVEL LIVING ROOM The living room in the lower level serves as a recreation room. We have an air hockey table for some classic one on one matchups, and a round table that can accommodate board and card games. There is a couch area with a TV and DVD player for movie or shows you might want to enjoy downstairs. You can also access the beach area easily from this room through the sliding glass doors. The views in this room are also very enjoyable. HOT TUB The hot tub is located on the rear right corner of the home. It is easily accessed through the lower level living room, or by going down the outside flight of stairs on the right side of the house. We also have an outdoor shower for rinsing off sand after hanging at the beach area, which is on only during the warmer months. Please be sure to be sand-free before using the hot tub. BEACH AREA/DOCK Our beach area is another favorite spot of ours, and where we spend a lot of time in the summer. You'll find beach lounge chairs for relaxing in, a small bistro table, a fire pit with seating for lakeside fires, and our dock. On the beach we provide kayaks and paddle boards for venturing out onto the lake. Be sure to pull everything back onto the beach after you are done using them. During the warmer months, we also have a floating dock that you can swim or paddle to. ***DOCK AND FLOATING SWIM DOCK WILL IN THE WATER APPROXIMATELY MID MAY THROUGH MID OCTOBER. ***KAYAKS AND PADDLEBOARDS WILL BE AVAILABLE MID MAY THROUGH MID OCTOBER OR UNLESS OTHERWISE ARRANGED BEFORE YOUR STAY. Boat Use on the Lake: If you plan or would like to to use a motor boat/pontoon during your stay, please reach out as there are a few lake regulations that we can pass along as well as a local boat rental business. Guests have access to the entire space and the dock. The lake items that are available to guests are two paddle boards and two (2) kayaks found at our home. Please be sure to check with us first if you are unsure if its available for use. These will be available mid May - mid October. Please check with us to make sure they are out for use. Parker Lake does allows fishing, and has several types of fish including bass, northern pike, crappie, perch, and more. A non-resident 4 day license is required, and can be purchased online. Please review the special regulation signs posted around the lake as well. We provide self check-in at our home and will give you all the access details in a message leading up to your stay. If you ever need to reach us, you can message us or call our number listed in the app. Here are some local attractions and their distances from our home: • Montello Granite Quarry, 11 miles, Driving Time: Approx. 20 minutes • Wisconsin Dells Distance: 20 miles, Driving Time: Approx. 30-40 minutes • Devil's Lake State Park: Address: S5975 Park Rd, Baraboo, WI 53913 Distance: 20 miles, Driving Time: Approx. 35-45 minutes • Madison, WI Distance: 45 miles, Driving Time: Approx. 1 hour Parking is tight. Use the spaces directly facing the house. Please be mindful of children when playing outside around the dock and near the kayaks/paddle board.
