Welcome to Donnie’s House, 3+ bedroom entire home

“Donnie’s House” is a century old homestead settled in a private cove on 30+ acres of lake waterfront. Quiet and peaceful setting, enjoy kayaking, row boat or pedal boat on the lake, bar-be-que on the deck, trail walks, berry picking, walks to the beach (ocean is just down the road). Venture into historical Arichat to visit the Forge, grab a coffee at the cafe, enjoy the views from the look off. Isle Madame has so much beauty to see, and is still just a half hour drive to Port Hawkesbury. The space Cozy, clean and comfortable home with a “shabby chic” exterior boasts lots of character. 3 Bedrooms are upstairs, all have 1 double bed. There is a futon in the livingroom that can be used as a double bed. There is a window AC in one bedroom and fans in the other two. There is also a playpen (pack and play) and a feeding chair with tray that hooks onto the kitchen chair for guests with young children to use. The bathroom is on the main level and has a bathtub with shower. The bathtub is equipped with safety bars and a portable commode is available for use upstairs for those who may have difficulty navigating stairs through the night. Towels and washcloths and some toiletries are provided. The living room sofa does convert to a double bed (futon). The home has satellite TV (Smart TVs) and high speed internet. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster, dishes and cutlery along with the cooking basics - flour, sugar, oils etc. There is a BBQ to use on the deck. Coffee/Tea bar is well stocked and their is always fresh ground medium roast from La Goelette a Pepe cafe in Arichat for your enjoyment. There is a washer and dryer on-site. Pets welcome (pet fee) but please clean up outside after them and any damage caused by pets is the responsibility of the guest. We ask that our guests let us know in advance if pets are coming, that the furniture covers (provided) are kept on the furniture and, if possible, that pets are kept off the beds. Please bring a litter box and litter if you are bringing a cat. Pets must stay on the property unless accompanied by the owner. We recommend they be tied or on leash when outside. The property is large and very easy for a pet to get lost, there are predators such as coyotes and hawks in the area so please watch your pets closely. Out building are not to be accessed without permission. Use of small row boat, kayak and paddle boat can be arranged. Other things to note Ocean is a short walk or drive from the property, this is not suitable for swimming but lovely to walk and beach comb. Public beach in Pondville is a short drive from the property. Lennox Passage Provincial Park is also close by in Martinique. The home will be cleaned and fully sanitized between each guest stay.
