Enjoy nature’s beauty in the heart of Maine, 8 miles from I-95. This country home is made up for guests with care and attention to detail, we want your vacation to be a great one!💐 We have welcomed guests from all over the world who come to Maine for Acadia National Park, weddings at nearby venues, people visiting loved ones in the area, travelers to Moosehead or Canada, and concert goers. We are always pleased to offer accommodations for families and friends that are here making memories. The space This is a 2021 manufactured home, all open concept with no hallways. Guests have access to one queen bedroom, and one full bathroom, approx. 900 sq/ft, the front half of the home. There is an organic single mattress in the living area as well as a pull out, double size couch. This home is bright and fresh, eclectically decorated, and clutter free so you can make yourself at home. We care about our environment, and are powered by our own grid-tied solar array. This home is within a mile of public boat access to Pleasant Lake, and Sebasticook Lake is minutes away. The ATV rail trail is minutes away. There is plenty of room in the door yard for your boat and ATV trailers. The Pleasant Lake Preserve is also within a mile and a gorgeous hike with a picnic area to enjoy the lake air. This property is a haven full of all things natural. We see animals including eagles and hawks, turtles, frog, dragonfly, butterfly, deer, fish, squirrel, beaver, snake, duck, geese, fish, eagles and an otter. There is a view of the pond across the street that changes with the seasons. It’s always fun to look for geese with the provided binoculars. The yard is a mixture of manicured and wild. The priority is given to pollinators over landscaped precision, you will notice sections of high grass that provide habitat for dragonflies, bees and butterflies. The house is efficient and comfortable. We want your stay to be happy and restful! If you are traveling with children you can request childproofing which includes gas stove knob covers, doorknob covers for outside doors and bathroom doors, outlet covers, 4 cabinet locks. Guest access You will have exclusive access to the house and a front patio area with a picnic table. There is an open front yard area, it is cool and shady in the afternoon. This area is ideal for extra parking, wiffle ball games, or a badminton net. The hosts will maintain access to the hose spigot. Guests do not have access to the backyard, there is an apartment in a nearby building that is at times occupied. Other things to note Walmart in Newport offers delivery of goods to this address through their app for your convenience. Guests are encouraged to stay in the mowed areas of the property. Please wear protective clothing for sun and insects. Please wear appropriate footwear outdoors. This listing is located near the road and though not constant there is occasional noise from cars and trucks. We no longer stock condiments or beverages. We have a dog who is always on leash and behind the fence. You may see us walking during your stay. Kodak looks like this 🐕, and loves people, but does not like other canines.
