The Yellow Cottage at Lake Chelan

It's a 2-minute walk to public, sandy beach access at Lakeside Park & within a mile of TWO winners of the Washington Winery of the Year Award - Mellisoni (2021) & Tsillan Cellars (2020)! We're located about two miles from Chelan city center and one mile from Slidewaters Waterpark. Dog friendly! #STR0356 The space We are super excited to offer you an amazing experience at The Yellow Cottage. The magnificence of Lake Chelan has so much to offer year-round. Our French/English style Cottage has plenty of room and is perfect for several couples, a family (or two), or a group attending a wedding to enjoy. We offer 4 bedrooms each with a bathroom (and shower) to match. Three of the bathrooms are ensuite and the fourth is located directly across the hall. We also offer a queen size pull out sofa bed in the second living room. You'll find our beds spectacularly comfortable with luxury Laura Ashley bedding, soft sheets, and ample pillows to choose from for a wonderful night's sleep. Our 1906 cottage is one of the oldest and most iconic homes in Chelan. We kept most of the original features such as the hardwood floors and the magnificent staircase. From the moldings and trims to the quaint window seat you'll fall in love with all of its endearing charms. One of our favorite stories is about one of the previous residents, the captain of the Lady of the Lake. On his days off, he would sit outside to watch as “his boat” headed up to Stehekin. He always wanted to make sure the substitute captain was doing a good job! We’re just a few steps to the beautiful Lakeside Park with public access, picnic tables, an area for dogs to romp, a dock, and a gorgeous beach the kids will love. Be sure to bring floaties and life jackets as you'll thoroughly enjoy swimming and splashing at the beach. Make sure to stop by the “snow cone” stand for some shaved ice before coming back to The Yellow Cottage to hang out in our spacious backyard! We have various spots to sit and enjoy the shade on our wrap-around porch, bask in the sun on our chaise lounges, and seating areas throughout the English garden. If you’re planning to make meals at home, we offer options both indoors and out. Our kitchen has everything you'll need to be able to prepare meals; a double-door refrigerator and freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Dishes, coffeemaker, blender, pots and pans, drinkware, large crock pot, and silverware are all available. Coffee and a plethora of tea choices await you. We've equipped a large variety of spices for your cooking pleasure and condiments in the fridge. You'll also find both a grill and dining table & chairs on our large patio for delicious outdoor cooking! After a morning of golf, an afternoon of wine tasting at one of the 40+ wineries in the area, or a day of boating, a vacation wouldn’t be complete without a soak in our premium hot tub which seats up to 7 people! You'll enjoy grabbing a game from our game cupboard and spreading out around our 10-seat dining table for making memories and experiencing lots of laughter. Wind down with a movie/show on one of our three televisions equipped with Roku available for you to sign-in to your favorite streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, etc). We love dogs! We allow up to 2 dogs (under 50 lbs each) with additional pet fee. Please let us know when you request a reservation if you will be bringing a dog. Dogs must be kept in their crate if you leave them on the property for outings. We’re able to accommodate groups of up to 10 guests. Parties or added visitors/guests are not allowed inside or outside on property. We abide by the Chelan Good Neighbor Guidelines; please keep music quiet before 10 pm. No music allowed outside after 10pm. No smoking or vaping inside or outside on the property. Guest access A code will be provided upon arrival for self check-in (usually the last 4 digits of phone number for the one booking). You will have access to the entire house, hot tub, and large backyard. The only space off limits is the basement. There are two dedicated parking spots behind the property and numerous other free parking around the property.
