Whether you are busy house-hunting, looking for an extended break or just a simple holiday, then this delightful village house offers you a home-from-home experience. Available from 3 to 90 days it is ideally situated to discover the delights of Normandy, Brittany or the Pays de la Loire whilst being within easy reach of the major ports and airports. This elegant and charming house will sleep 6 (2 doubles and a twin) and has everything you need to enjoy your extended stay. The space The living accommodation is all on one level with a spacious dual aspect lounge / diner leading into an open plan kitchen. The kitchen and dining areas both have direct access to the rear garden and patio overlooking a field (the field is not part of the property!). The lounge area has direct access to the front garden. The lounge has an open fireplace which is purely for decorative purposes and mustn't be used. Heating throughout the property is via electric radiators. The lounge is equipped with a TV, FreeSat box for UK channels, internet TV for French channels, high speed fibre optic internet connection, DVD/VHS player (assortment of DVD's available), HiFi system / CD player. The dining area is elegantly furnished and easily seats 6 people. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, full-size oven, dishwasher, dual-fuel hob (2 induction and 2 gas) and microwave. As with many French properties the WC is separate from the shower-room, and there is an additional WC in the basement. Please note there is no bath in this property...only a shower. The 3 bedrooms are all of good size and have plenty of cupboard space too. There are 2 doubles and a twin room (2 single beds). All rooms have electric roller-shutters so you can be sure of a peaceful sleep. Bed linen, pillows and duvets are all provided but towels are not provided. Access to the basement is via concrete steps off the hallway, and here you will find a laundry room with washer and dryer (where possible please use the clothes line in the garden instead of the dryer...your laundry always smells fresher when it's line-dried and of course it's better for the environment!!) The basement also has a WC and an additional room which can be used for temporary storage or as a games room. We often find it more convenient to access the house via the basement as there is an exterior door next to the garage / driveway. There is a large garage which you are welcome to use. The automatic garage door is operated from a switch by the internal door...we do not supply a remote key-fob. Outside you will find a delightful shrubbery bordering the driveway, and steps up to the rear garden / patio area. The main garden is to the side of the house and is mainly grass. Please note that the garden needs to be maintained so we may need to visit the property at some point during your stay in order to cut the grass but this can be discussed with you beforehand. Outdoor seating and a BBQ are provided. Guest access You will have access to the whole house, garage, basement and garden except for the upper floor/attic area. Other things to note Please note that because the garden isn't fully fenced, that there are some concrete steps to the basement and that there are some period furnishings in the property, it isn't suitable for very young children so we do not accept children under 7 years old.
