Owyhee Dam Boat House

The Boat House was built in 1928 as a garage/boat house for the Bureau of Reclamation employees while building the Owyhee Dam. In 2016 it was renovated into a rental house. The Boat House is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath that includes a Master BR w/ a queen & full size hide-a-bed, fully furnished kitchen w/ appliances, dining area, living room w/ a pull out full size sleeper couch & smart TV w/ complimentary Netflix, a 2nd BR w/ 1 bunk-bed & 1 twin bed, heating & air conditioning, & a propane BBQ. The space Bedroom #1 - 1 queen bed, 1 full hide-a-bed Bedroom #2 - 1 twin bunk-bed & 1 twin bed Living Room - Full Size pull out sleeper couch Complimentary Netflix Ceiling Fans Air Conditioning & Heat Outdoor Propane Grill & Private picnic table A beautiful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors of the Owyhee River Canyon. Pets allowed - Pet Fee required to be paid at time of booking $75.00 per pet. Up to 2 pets allowed. Additional pets may be considered by request & approval only. Guest access The Boat House is located just outside a restricted area of the Owyhee Dam Compound; You will notice two gates that says "STOP" and the two signs that say "NOTICE - RESTRICTED AREA AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY" beyond this point. Please do not cross the fencing & gates beyond these signs. You are permitted to occupy the grounds that surround the Boat House only; the facility beyond the fence is restricted, except for the Visitors Center, to speak to Dam personnel and/or during an emergency. All guests are encouraged to use the river trail for access to the river above the facility and to stay near the high water mark throughout the facility. Use of facility road is for authorized personnel and/or an emergency. There is no cell phone service in the canyon. If you need to make a phone call, Wi-Fi service can be used in the Boat House Cabin & at the Visitor Center with your smartphone. If it is an emergency the Dam office phone may be used for an "Emergency Only". Other things to note If guest is requesting to add a tent, RV, and/or Boat parking to the cabin rental, an additional cost will be applied of $30/night for an RV/Camper/Boat/Trailer & $20/night per tent. Guest is required to request & receive approval prior to reservation for the additional tent/camper amenity. Pets allowed - Pets allowed inside cabin if added to your Airbnb reservation! Pets must be supervised at all times & on a leash if they are NOT “Recall” Trained. Please be courteous of other guest & staff. Guest MUST clean up after your pet inside & out!! Pets are NOT allowed on the furniture or beds. Any Damage or excessive cleaning required will be charged to the guest through Airbnb Pet Fee required to be paid at time of booking $75.00 per pet. Up to 2 pets allowed. Additional pets may be considered by request & approval only. Guest Responsibility for Personal Belongings: We want all of our guests to feel comfortable and secure during their stay. Please note that we are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. We kindly encourage you to take proper precautions by keeping your belongings secured and not leaving valuables unattended. For your peace of mind, we recommend using luggage locks, keeping important items with you, and ensuring doors and windows are properly secured when leaving the property.
