Looking for a bigger space? Ask about the whole house rental option. This level has no stairs to enter, private entrance, and contactless code entry. You and your guests enjoy the private inground saltwater pool (seasonally), fishing pond, pool table, fire pit, outdoor gas and charcoal grills, and plenty of peaceful outdoor space! The unit includes 2 bedrooms (one with queen bed, and one with 2 single beds, plus extra roll-away twin bed) and a spacious open floorplan living room with smart TV, pool table, games, and dining table space (seats 6). Stocked kitchenette with hot plates for cooking, microwave, Instapot, combo air fryer/toaster/oven, full fridge, Keurig, and dinnerware. Full bathroom includes stall shower. Basic toiletries and plenty of towels provided. Nicknamed the East Coast Napa Valley, Charlottesville is notable for tons of surrounding vineyards and wineries (not to mention breweries and cideries), and you’ll be in the heart of it all. We’re just a 15-minute beautiful drive from Downtown Charlottesville, 8-minute drive to Monticello, 10-minute drive to Carter Mountain, and just 5 minutes to the nearest vineyard (Jefferson Vineyards). 19 minute drive to UVA! Guest access Lower-level apartment: This is a basement level apartment. We will also be making a whole-house listing soon, but for now the lower level is reservable and we may be in the upstairs unit at times. You may hear us upstairs, but we are rarely home. The basement space is all yours, as is access to the outdoor amenities as listed below. The pool: The pool area is private to you during your stay! You are welcome to use the seating options around the pool. Pool floats and toys available as well. Guests agree to adhering to best practices around water including never leaving children unattended, never swimming alone, and no glass in the pool. Pool opens in May. The pond: You are welcome to fish in our stocked pond for some catch and release fun. You’ll find it home to bluegill, bass, etc. We do not recommend swimming in the pond. Please be careful when using the pond dock. Please watch your children at all times around the pond, and be mindful of the steep sides along the bank. Firepit: You are welcome to use the backyard fire pit and nearby wood pile. Please be sure to put out any fire completely before leaving the area. Be mindful of dry times when fire is ill-advised. Other things to note Critters and wildlife: Be mindful that while in the country, you may encounter various critters and wildlife including deer, snakes, and bears. We’ve taken great care to prevent unwanted critters through regular pest control. However, we expect you please do your part to decrease likelihood of any pests entering the home by keeping doors closed, trash in bins, and food put away. Please do not leave trash outdoors by the pool area to avoid unwanted guests! Temperature: We keep the thermostat at 70 degrees. You’ll find fans in each bedroom (and an electric space heater in colder months). If the temperature isn’t to your liking, please just send us a message and we’ll do our best to make you more comfortable. Wifi: We find the wifi decent for most activities, including streaming services on your smart TV. The property has a whole-home generator, protecting against power outage.
