The space Just minutes from the beach, Little Pearl is a gorgeous little seaside bolthole tucked away in the picture-postcard village of Robin Hood’s Bay. This beautiful sandstone cottage is perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape to the coast, with all of the bays attractions on your doorstep. ​Step through the cream stable door to discover an elegant and stylish cottage with a cosy, comfortable vibe. ​Inside you’ll find an open plan living area home to the living room, kitchen and dining area. At the heart of this space is a cosy wood-burning stove, such a pleasure to return to a real fire every evening after a bracing walk along the coast. For your entertainment there’s a TV with Freeview provided and Wi-Fi is also available. There’s a large comfy sofa to curl up on and a charming French chaise which comes all the way from Paris… ​At the opposite side of this space sits the kitchen and breakfast bar. Picture yourself settling down to a glass of bubbly here before heading down to the local bistro for dinner. The charming kitchen features stone grey units and a chunky wooden work-top, with cupboards stocked with all the equipment you’ll need to rustle up something yummy. How about some fresh Whitby crab from the fishmonger in the bay. There’s a Nespresso coffee machine, a dishwasher and a fridge with an ice-box compartment. ​The bedroom in Little Pearl is set up the winding staircase on the first floor of the cottage. This peaceful and sophisticated room boasts a sumptuous king-size bed and a soft luxurious carpet underfoot. Some fabulous views from the dormer window too. The bathroom sits right next door. There’s a bath with a monsoon rain shower overhead, so you can enjoy a refreshing shower in the morning and a long hot soak each evening... Heaven! ​The exterior of this pretty coastal cottage could be on the cover of a postcard with its honey coloured stone and elegant sash windows. The small garden offers the luxury of your own private terrace (something of a rarity in Robin Hoods Bay) set in an elevated position above the cottage. A lovely spot for lunch al fresco in the summer months, with the seagulls calling far overhead. Patio furniture and a chimenea are provided. Guest access **Please note that Little Pearl is not suitable for people with mobility issues. The cottage is situated right at the bottom of Robin Hood's bay near the dock and guests will need to climb stairs to access the property. There are also steep steps to gain access to the private patio area.** Little Pearl is located on Albion Road at the very bottom of the bay. Turn immediately right up Albion Road after passing Smugglers restaurant, walk up past the chip shop and take the stairway entrance on the left just before reaching the last cottage (immediately after Primrose Cottage) Little Pearl is on the left once you get up these steps. Access: Arrival is from 4pm and departure by 10am on the final day of your stay. If you want to request an earlier arrival or later departure time, you must contact the owner no later than 7 days prior to your stay. Please note that while every effort will be made to accommodate your request, there is no guarantee that this will be possible. There is a key safe beside the front door. Please contact the owners 24 hours before arrival to confirm the code for the key safe. Please return the key to the key safe upon departure and scramble the dial. Other things to note Due to the location of the cottage in the lower Bay Area, there is no parking. Two council car parks can be found at the top of the village, Bank Top or Station car park (these car parks are free to use during the winter months) It is no longer possible to book a temporary parking pass the Old School House Fisherhead car park. However, Bay Taxis do offer a cheap and reliable service for those not wanting to take luggage up and down the hill. Pets: Please note Little Pearl is not pet-friendly. You must not bring a pet to stay with you and may be refused access if you do. Children: Babes-in-arms are welcome to the property but please note the cottage is not suitable for toddlers. Please bring your own cot or high-chair if required. Damage:​ Our property is maintained to an extremely high standard and we respectfully remind guests to take due care and attention when staying in the property. We would be appreciative if you could leave the property as you found it, with all furniture replaced to their original locations. In the unfortunate event of an accident causing damage to the property, you should report this immediately to the owners. Please note that any damage may have to be paid for. Telephone & Wifi: There is wifi at the property but please note that due to the remote location, both wifi and mobile reception in the lower bay can often be patchy.
