This is the elegant historic side of Chicago full of history and gorgeous architecture. When you drive or bus into downtown along Lake Shore Drive, you get to see the city skyline skyscrapers in the background and beautiful Lake Michigan, expansive beaches, and beautiful boats on the side. It’s quite a memorable drive and remains my favorite and most scenic way to travel into downtown.
