How do you enter Cabo Polonio National Park? To get to Cabo Polonio from Montevideo, travel to kilometer 264 ½ of Route 10 in the department of Rocha; at that point is the entrance to the resort. This entrance can be reached by car or through some of the transport lines that make the trip from Montevideo. Once at the entrance, the options are to walk 7 km between dunes and forest, or hire transportation in one of the off-road vehicles that make the journey to Cabo Polonio.
