Cricket's Farm, Bantam Room

Enjoy 23 wooded acres of natural Finger Lakes beauty surrounding our 1870 historic farmhouse getaway, home to our herd of rescue goats and livestock guardian dog, Parker. Our inside pets are sheltie Cricket and cat Wyatt! Your stay includes access to our vegan/vegetarian kitchen. We're just 10 minutes south of Ithaca, 30 minutes to Watkins Glen. Our Bantam Bedroom may be small, but it has all you need for a relaxing stay! Shared bath on the 1st floor. If you need a/c, ask about our Oaknut Room. The space Enter through our porch on the front/side, next to the driveway. Hay bales mark your way. We're retired from running a cleaning service, so we enjoy keeping our home tidy to our professional standards. Decor is farmhouse/bohemian. On the second floor, our south bedroom is small but charming, with a south-facing window. The double bed features hotel quality sheets. The desk is an antique sewing table. A Brita filter of water and glasses are provided. Guest access You're welcome to enjoy the sitting area outside your door, with resources for you--fridge, microwave, etc. You are also welcome to spend time in the living room, and cook vegan or vegetarian meals in our kitchen. We have a tea and coffee station with nice organic choices. During your stay My partner Wren is usually home to help you. If we'll be away, we communicate in advance and make sure you have our phone numbers. We may also put the dog and kitten up out of your way while we're gone. Other things to note Our kitchen is vegan/vegetarian only. If you choose, you can have meat in the guest fridge and microwave upstairs. Cricket and Wyatt, our dog and cat, are inside pets. Please take care not to let them out. They will often be found in the common areas. Bantam Room has fans but no air conditioning. Our Oaknut Room is air conditioned.
