This cabin has the luxuries of home. Perfectly secluded, on the banks of a river in the heart of the Hood Canal. Enjoy a well-stocked kitchen, blankets & pillows galore, games & puzzles. Even bidets and a hot tub! Fiber internet keeps you connected, and a Generac keeps you on, even when the power is out in the area. Room for everyone with 5 comfy beds and 2 full baths. Permit: ZON2022-00155 The space This is actually our beloved family "cabin," which is why it feels so homey. We love to gather with our friends and family, cook great meals, hunker down to watch movies or play games. As such, it has everything you need to be comfortable, and then some. Our home is a great homebase for any Hood Canal or Olympic National Park adventure. It's all an easy drive away. Surrounded by trees with private access to the river, we always feel totally "away from it all" here. There is a small, totally separate, studio at the front of the property. It is possible that you can rent it for an additional fee, or that we will (rarely) be staying in it during your stay. I made a guidebook, that you should be able to see, with recommendations for food and hikes and everything else. But you can also just message me any time and I'll help you find what you're looking for. (Except inner peace and meaning and stuff, I'm not a magician.) There's a small studio at the front of our property that we sometimes stay in when guests are in the main house. It's not often, and we'll let you know if we plan to be there. The carport is there for you to use, but the garage is off limits (and not easily accessible from the house anyway.) The river property is just for you, (and us if we happen to be in town.) It's not public, so that huge lawn and private beach are there for you! Other things to note The house itself is decked out and cozy as can be. But you are still in the woods in a remote rural area, so every now and then - though rarely - the power goes out. Mason County PUD is super-fast at restoring it and it's never been out for more than an hour since we've had the place. We do have a Generac standby generator which will go on and off immediately. But it doesn't operate the HVAC or the hot tub. The wood stove, and a billion blankets all over the house, will keep you warm, and everything else will still work. We do have blazing fast fiber internet there, so you can stream movies and have a Zoom work call all at the same time. Your phone should work on wi-fi calling there, as there is no cell signal down there at all. The TVs are logged into just about all the major streaming services. There is a user profile called "cabin," just use that one. Please don't log us out.
