Beautifully handcrafted cabins with full kitchen and private bath/shower, overlook the scenic Matanuska River Valley. These cabins have two queen beds and a full size pull out sleeper sofa, table, chairs, and a deck with chairs. Enjoy spectacular views of the Matanuska River Valley and Chugach Mountains. The space There are over 10 miles of trails leaving from the Lodge perfect for exploring. Birds and wildflowers abound. Maps are provided in each cabin for self-guided hiking. In the fall (mid-August), wild berries such as blueberries, low bush cranberries, and crowberries can be found in great numbers. Our guests usually enjoy soaking in the hot tub with mountain views, followed by a fire in the large Gazebo behind the lodge. Our lodge is located a short 12 miles from access to the Matanuska Glacier. Spend a few hours exploring the glacier on your own or take a guided hike to see the glacier’s wondrous features with expert guides.
