Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish house a few meters from the beach. The house is a converted old barn made of stone and it has been renovated by myself in 2022. All the materials used are emblematic of Greek vernacular architecture ranging from wooden chestnut ceilings, to stone floors, to marble countertops. All furnishing are antiques or custom made, designed or picked by me. The house is an eco residence. Rain water is collected in the winter and used in the summer for daily needs. The space The house is convenient for two couples or even two families. It is designed as efficiently as a sail boat, no room to spare. The living room converts into a bedroom, if needed with 2 beds. Guest access You can drive up to the house. Kimolos has a network of dirt roads and one of them leads to the house. It is accessible by a conventional car and it is located 250m from the beach and 7min by car from the main town and the port. Other things to note The beach near us is a western beach so you can enjoy the sun setting into the water. You can also enjoy the sunset on the comfortable lounges on the old stone threshing floor situated above the house. The beach below the house is an archeological site. Bring your mask so you can enjoy the antiquities within the water. The house is an eco residence. Kimolos like most cycladic islands has no water. The house uses rainwater collected in a cistern during the winter. When it runs out we order desalination water, but during high season demand is high hence we need to be cautious with water use and conserve it. Unfortunately, this is not the place to enjoy long showers. There is also a septic tank that filters wastewater and then disperses it into the plants through an underground irrigation system. So please don't throw toilet paper or other waste and chemicals into the toilets. Water is heated by a solar boiler. Kimolos is a very calm and very beautiful island. You will enjoy a variety of different crystal water beaches, amazing local food, a couple of small yet interesting museums and beautiful hikes (only recommended spring or fall or very late during the day, to avoid heat stroke.) Polyaigos, which is the biggest uninhabited island in Greece, is a great place to enjoy pristine water for a daily excursion. Registration Details 00002545137
