The space The cottage below... A FAMILY STORY This chalet is a project of passion, an authentic project, a family project. Patrice and Francis, father and son, passionate about construction and working with raw materials, embarked on the construction of the chalet in 2016. They started from scratch, a completely blank plot: everything had to be done. From the foundations to the framework, to the slates on the roof, to the knife-cutting of the beam dowels, the work was enormous. The materials used in the chalet are those that surround them, in their daily lives, in Vallée d'Aure, wood, stone and slate. In the basement of the chalet is a woodcut depicting Francis, 83, during the work. This cut is to his credit, for the work he has provided. A memory of sharing that will remain engraved in their memory, as well as on a slate of the roof, engraved too. We are pleased to open the doors of this chalet, so precious to us, for which each member of our large family was able to bring their idea, their comments, their opinion, so that eventually, this place becomes a warm place where everyone feels a little at home.
