15 minutes from Chartres Cathedral, on the edge of a large forest and in the very enclosure of the flowery park of the Château de l'Aval, this beautiful and comfortable 18th century house will be your refuge to recharge your batteries in the heart of nature or explore the treasures of Beauce. The space The house of about 120 m2 on two floors has private access as well as a dedicated parking space. The entrance leads to a large living room of 50 m2 with double north-south exposure. This room is divided between a large dining table, a living area with a large wood-burning stove and a large desk. A large French window gives access to the garden with views of the castle, where you can have lunch, sunbathe, or read in the shade of two bi-centennial linden trees. A spacious and fully equipped kitchen is accessible from both the living room and the garden. Upstairs, two south-facing bedrooms (one of which is closed in this option for 4 people but possible in the 6 people option) overlook the castle and its flower garden, and a third bedroom, to the north, from which you can contemplate the hilly fields as far as the eye can see. The north-facing bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, and a large bathroom with bathtub and double sink is served by the landing where there is a separate toilet. A third toilet is on the ground floor. (Beds: North Bedroom 180 x 190, South Bedroom 1: 140 x 200, South Bedroom 2: one double bed 140 x 190 and one single bed 90 x 170) Guest access entire place Other things to note Located at the entrance to the village of Sours, in the wooded park of the castle, you can enjoy a large garden and a large forest with centuries-old trees bordering a small river and where you can see a rich fauna including deer, hares, herons, pheasants, moorhens, ducks and owls. 50 meters away, the Château de l'Aval is a historical monument whose current building was rebuilt in the 17th century on 11th century cellars. Former refuge of the Templars and symbolic place of the Hundred Years' War, it will take you on a journey through time through its history. In the center of the village of Sours, a 5-minute walk away you will find an excellent bakery, a quality convenience store, a local organic market garden, and a strawberry field.
