Newly renovated & close to nature cottage in rural location

Timber-framed rural cottage from 1840 in the heart of Sweden's Tuscany, but at the same time close to attractions! The historic cottage exudes charm and history, and with its quiet and rural location, it invites you to breathe deeply and rest. Completely renovated in 2023 with underfloor heating, tiled bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, but also with a focus on preserving the soul of the house. Surrounded by beautiful nature, apple orchards and various tourist destinations, while at the same time close to Jönköping, it makes the farmhouse a rural idyll with many possibilities! The space You will arrive at a completely renovated timber cottage from 1840 where the focus is on finding a balance between preserving the historical original details and the soul of the house, and at the same time modernized so that all practical facilities are available. In the cabin, there is a story about the history of the house, which describes, among other things, the purpose of the house in its previous location before it was moved to its current location. The cottage is about 110 sqm in size, divided into common areas on the ground floor and a solid sleeping loft. Fully equipped spacious kitchen with underfloor heating and wood stove, tiled bathroom with shower and washing machine/dryer. Large living room with fireplace (unfortunately there is a ban on heating), dining area, extra seating areas and day bed that can be made into a 160 cm bed. In the sleeping loft there is a double bed (180 cm), a day bed 80/160 cm and a 90 cm bed. In the living room and in the sleeping loft, the old floors are preserved. It has its charm, but is not guaranteed to be free of imperfections and they can be cold in the winter. Slippers are available to borrow. In the entrance, the floor is locally quarried limestone with underfloor heating. Cleaning is not included, but the service can be purchased. Cleaning equipment is provided in the cabin. Bed linens and bath towels are not included, but can be rented for SEK 200/set. Washer/dryer is available at a nominal extra cost to be paid by Swish or cash upon departure. If you come with children, there is a possibility to borrow a high chair/child's bed/changing table, etc. upon request. Wi-Fi is available in the house. No external screen is available. Parking is available next to the house. Possibility to rent kayaks in Landsjön. Charcoal grill is available to borrow. Guest access Private accommodation with free access to the entire cottage as well as the entire fruit garden below the stone wall in the south-facing location. Private driveway and parking. Other things to note Cleaning and bed linens are not included. A washer/dryer is available for a nominal fee to cover costs and reduce environmental impact. Smoking is not allowed. Due to allergies, pets are not allowed.
