Ogden is a diverse city located near three ski resorts, natural hot springs, lakes for recreation, and offers unlimited hiking opportunities, as well as stunning landscapes and sunsets. As an old railroad town, Ogden has managed to maintain its charm and history. Every weekday at noon, a midday whistle sounds, which can sometimes be heard from my property if the wind is just right. This whistle was originally used to call railroad workers in for lunch. Although it's no longer needed, the city has kept it for nostalgia. I enjoy walking to the train station, which is 1.5 miles away, or taking a quick bus ride, with a picnic lunch in hand, to wait for that iconic whistle.
