Alloa Petite

Come away for a weekend retreat to Alloa Petite. The farm cottage in Tauherenikau was originally accommodation for cooks & gardeners for the main farm Alloa. Being 60 mins drive from Wellington it is the perfect spot for a weekend or midweek getaway. Being 7 minutes from Greytown, 6 minutes from Featherston & 15 minutes from Martinborough you can take your time & explore all three local towns. Also walking distance to Tauherenikau racecourse & Rose & Smith events. The space Alloa Petite has been extensively & tastefully renovated to accommodate guests basing themselves in the South Wairarapa. The main bedroom has a King size bed & the sofa converts to a Queen size bed for another couple if required, so sleeps up to 4 guests. There is a fee of $50.00 for an extra couple & the sofa will be made up before arrival. There is a good-sized kitchen table that is suitable for dining or as a work table. It has a full working kitchen with oven, dishwasher & small fridge. Guest access Access is the shared driveway to the main house & the cottage. Please be mindful of house pets. Other things to note The cottage is an ideal location to base yourself for stargazing, visiting wineries in the nearby Martinborough region or shopping in the historic village of Greytown. The will be breakast supplies in the cottage of fresh bread, bacon, eggs & homemade museli as well as tea & coffee for you to have at your convenience. Guests are permitted to use the house pool on request. The pool is fully fenced. The sofa converts to a Queen size bed and is available on request for extra guests. A porta cot with bedding is also available on request at no charge.
