Slow mornings, sunset dinners and room to unwind. Hilltop Hideout is a modern one-bedroom cottage in Katrine, ideal for a getaway for two, but with space for up to four. Embark on scenic nature walks, or spend the day at the beach, or fishing. Enjoy coffee on the deck, cook dinner on the BBQ or settle in for a movie or board game. A full kitchen, Wi-Fi and in-cottage laundry make it easy to feel at home. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a bit of both, you’ll find it here. The space THE SPACE Natural wood accents and an open living, dining and kitchen area create a welcoming place to spend time together. Prepare a favourite meal, stretch out on the sofa or gather around the dining table for a relaxed evening. Sleeping arrangements: • Private bedroom with a queen bed. • Sofa bed in the open living area for additional guests. • Maximum four guests. Guests using the sofa bed share the main living space. The kitchen includes a full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, cookware and dining essentials. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. An in-cottage washer and dryer, central heating, portable air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a TV provide everyday comfort. Outside, the 12-by-20-foot deck has dining furniture and a BBQ, with sunset views over the treeline. Enjoy the yard and fire pit when local fire restrictions permit. Bring your own firewood; we try to provide kindling, but availability isn’t guaranteed. LAKE AND BEACH Doe Lake’s public beach is a three-minute walk from the cottage door. The cottage is not waterfront; access is at the nearby public beach. A route map is included in the photo gallery. A tandem kayak is available for guest use, with paddles, personal flotation devices (PFDs) and a carrying cart for transporting it to the water. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD Hilltop Hideout is in Katrine, approximately two minutes from Highway 11, in a neighbourhood of cottages and year-round homes. Nearby stores offer everyday essentials. It’s a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area, with your own comfortable space to return to afterward. The neighbourhood is generally quiet, with more activity during the summer season. Guest access You’ll have private use of the entire cottage and half-acre grounds. Guest-use equipment is stored in the open shed; locked outbuildings are private. Self check-in is available using a lockbox. There are four parking spaces across two driveways. One driveway is steep, and winter tires are recommended for winter visits. There is one step to enter through the front and four steps at the back entrance. Once inside, the cottage is on one level. Other things to note • Pets are restricted. Please inquire before booking if you would like to bring a pet. • The yard is not fully fenced. • No smoking, parties or events. • Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. • Check-in is after 3 p.m.; checkout is before 11 a.m.
