Stylish barn cottage farm stay + fireplace

Farm cottage with an eco pool and fireplace:) The cottage is a unique old barn cottage with exposed wooden beams, stone walls and a cozy feel of our farm's history. The cottage consists of a living area with large double doors opening out onto the garden with an outside shower and pool. The kitchen boasts a Smeg stove and all the necessities to create beautiful meals. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed in a loft bedroom and an extra double bed is available downstairs. . Firewood is included The space The cottage itself is cozy, rustic and beautifully designed and has everything one needs for a cozy stay! The garden immediately in front of the cottage is perfect for appreciating local birdlife with a cup of coffee in the morning, or sunning yourselves on the patio in the late afternoon as the colours change around you… or enjoying a delicious outside braai (bbq)! 150m from the cottage is the original farmhouse where you can enjoy local beer and food from Thursday - Monday. Guest access More adventurous guests can explore the vast extent of the farm- say hello to the horses, swim in the dam with a flock of geese, or take a walk along the gravel road up to the lookout deck for a unique sunset experience. Other things to note For winter stays we offer firewood included. During load shedding ( South Africa has intermittent power cuts of up to 2 hours at a time) the cottage is fitted with a basic backup system that keeps lights and wifi working during load shedding for your convenience. ( plugs -aside from the bedside plugs -and the fridge are the only things that won’t work during these times) Since March 2022 we now have a beer garden on the farm 150m up the gravel road from the cottage. It opens from Thurs-Sun from 1pm-10pm. The house comes equipped with fast and stable internet access, upgraded in November 2021. There is no Microwave.
