Description
Bow River Fishing Cabin The space Welcome to your cozy getaway located less than 25 meters from the beautiful Bow River. The cabin has a wonderful south facing view of the water, privately hidden in the trees amongst the river valley bottom. It has a simple and homey feel - with a very comfortable double bed, wood burning stove, table and chairs, and pull out sofa available for one more adult or two children, to accommodate if you need. Outside the hand-built structure is a fire pit, deck to enjoy your morning coffee on, and Muskoka chairs for taking in the breathtaking views. The washroom can be found just outside your doorstep in the private outhouse. Please note there is no running water at our location. The cabin is situated on private property, but just next a public fishing access area, so there is little to no traffic to disturb your time away. Enjoy endless hiking, walking, and trails to explore nearby as well as plenty of exceptional fishing spots! Our cabin is a perfect retreat for anyone interested in experiencing the best of the Bow River. Guest access Begin your stay with us with a moderate level walk down the coulee hills into the valley. Parking is located at the top of the property (top of the river valley), and by a 10 minute descending hike/walk you will find yourself at the Bow River Cabin. Please bring hiking boots/spikes to prepare for any slippery weather conditions, as the path down is a bit rocky. The cabin is nestled beneath the trees, just next to the tipis on the edge of the main clearing. Only a one minute walk away from the cabin lies the peaceful riverside. The property is free for you to explore from the start of the cabins to the east, to the next island over to the west. Please do not enter any other buildings on the property as we are currently still working on them. Be cautious around any rocks, steep hills, or ice/snow in winter. We ask you to also please respect the privacy of our neighbours to the east, in the larger wooden house, by not walking through their property or being too loud. Other things to note We only accept guests during the winter or other bad weather conditions who drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle. This must be confirmed by the guest with a photo confirmation. We want to ensure the highest safety to our guests and don’t want anyone getting hurt or stuck due to the gravel roads / weather conditions.
