Have the whole family and pets visit this cute lake cabin. Just a block from the neighborhood's private sandy beach with clubhouse and playground! Enjoy lazy summer days by the lake in a friendly woodsy neighborhood just minutes away from quaint main street towns such as Edgerton and Stoughton, wineries or the culture of Madison. Partial views of the lake where sunrises will delight you. Relax on the porch, take the kayaks for a paddle, and enjoy a small campfire at Lake Koshkonong this summer. This wonderful cabin comfortably sleeps 6 people in beds and a futon for the extra. All the amenities of being at home, because this is my home. I don't have pets, but please feel free to bring the whole family, including the furry one. I am one block from the beach and supplying you with my two kayaks to enjoy. I love longer stays (think about 2-3 weeks :-) The Driveway is one car deep and 2 wide. The living room is spacious and has a full fireplace with a TV hidden behind it that comes up on a lift. It is a smart TV and will Bluetooth gaming devices and other devices for office work. There's also a TV in the master bedroom. The living room has a desk for laptops, or shuffling paper :-) There is a full bathroom on each level, and the door to the back patio is through the lower bedroom. the other 2 bedrooms are upstairs. Kitchen, Livingroom, Laundry are all 1st floor. You have access to the entire house, except one closet in the bedroom, but there is a dresser there. There is also a small closet under the staircase that is mostly tools for repairing, and seasonal storage. I will be as available as much as possible during your stay in case anything comes up, and have a repairman on call at all times. Unless an extreme emergency, texting is usually best. "Highwood Estates" is an open friendly neighborhood on Lake Koshkonong, that has a yearly fee so we all share-own the Beach and Clubhouse. About 50% of the houses are owned by weekenders, and they usually end up living here because of how friendly and nice it is. The clubhouse is only open on the weekends, but has many family weekend events and bands. We comb the beautiful sand on the beach weekly (no glass allowed), and just got new playground equipment. We also just installed ropes and buoys to have a specific swimming area, as we have many boats that like to come to shore and hang out because of our nice beach. I have two parking spots in a very short driveway (ave. large SUV but not extended box pick-up). There is also extra parking across the street in the neighborhood parking area. But I strongly request a maximum of two cars. This house was built in the cabin style (save every inch) the staircase is a little on the steep side. Average healthy kids & adults will have no problem with this at all and remember there is a bedroom and full bath on the main floor.
