Fun fact: The Olde Farmhouse is one of Potter County, PA’s most iconic historical homes. This beautiful rustic home was previously owned by Major Issac Lyman- the founder of Potter County, now well-known for many tourist destinations - Cherry Springs State Park (15 mins drive), Lyman Run State Park, and Vistas (30 mins drive), Downtown Coundersport (7 mins drive), and many other beautiful destinations. Staying at The Olde Farmhouse, you will be taken back to the 1800s with the farmhouse’s colonial-style design. It still has the original rustic, wide-plank wooden floors on the first floor and traditional wood floors in the hallway areas on the second floor. The entire living space is over 2350 sqft. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Aside from these "rustic" features, all of the appliances and amenities in our house are modern, user-friendly, and convenient. You will never come across a property quite like this one again! :) Outdoor: You will also have access to a big front porch and private backyard with a stone fire pit and complimentary firewood for a cozy night under the stars or bird watching in the early mornings. Livingroom: The living room area has ample seating space and a 55” Smart TV with access to HBO Max, Hulu, YouTube, and Disney +, etc… (UNIQUE FEATURE) We also provide many DVD options if you want a throwback :) Cooking and dining: The kitchen and dining room are fully stocked and equipped with plenty of modern, smart appliances and a variety of complimentary amenities for your stay, such as Keurig & traditional drip coffee, decaf coffee, hot water pot, etc... (UNIQUE) Have you ever played or browsed your favorite music from a fridge? :) Now you can! Entertainment (UNIQUE FEATURES): The house also has a big game room with wrap-around LED lights, a pool table, and a foosball table. We also provide more than ten different kinds of board games and card games for family/friend bonding time. Sleeping and Bathroom space: The Olde Farmhouse offers three bedrooms with five beds (Bedroom 1 with a queen-size bed, Bedroom 2 with a full/double-size bed, and Bedroom 3 with three single beds) to accommodate up to 7 guests. All bedrooms are upstairs. There are two bathrooms: 1 full bathroom: a sink, and vanity, with a bathtub and shower upstairs, and 1 half bathroom: sink, vanity, toilets + washer, and dryer downstairs. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out! Parking: We have a private gravel driveway that can park up to 4 cars in a row. We have built many fond memories with our families and friends here and hope you will love the house as much as we do! Disclaimer: The Olde Farmhouse house, being a historic home built in the 1800s, has rustic old wooden floors and old windows throughout the entire house that come with quirks and imperfections (paint chips, outdoor debris etc..). With moisture in the air, they might be challenging to open (which is rarely an issue in cold seasons). They are frequently cleaned by a professional cleaning service. Your living space is 100% clean and sanitized often. We hope you will appreciate these unique “characters” of the home :) Guests have access to the entire place except from the storage room on second floor and basement. Please enter through the side door by our driveway with the passcode we provide you a day before your arrival. The entrance is well-lit with stairs lights, and doors. We are always available via Airbnb message for any questions guests might have. Other than that, we give guests full privacy for their entire stay. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. You will have all the privacy you need. P.S. It is helpful to note that it is a hunting-friendly/nature-friendly neighborhood. Depending on the season, you might hear ATVs or four wheelers drive by our road. People in the neighborhood also sometimes target shoot on their property to practice for hunting season or if you hear these “sounds” during hunting season, please do not be alarmed. We own 10.5 acres of private land all around the house and our community is very respectful so it is perfectly safe. Three days before your arrival we will send you the location of the house, you can simply follow the GPS to get to our place. Our parking is outdoor in our private drive way. In the winter, we recommend you to have an AWD or 4WD vehicle Upon entering, please always leave shoes in the mud room to protect the old wooden floors. Thank you!
