Newly Remodeled in 2023, Pondside Place is a small guesthouse near Cedar Creek Lake on a wooded acreage. Cradled in the arms of large oaks, it resides next to Old Mill Pond which is great for fishing. The croaking of frogs will lull the traveler to sleep in the spring. The shaded yard provides ample space to exercise pets and a gazebo for outdoor grilling. The internet is fast and Gun Barrel City shopping is just over the bridge. The space The guesthouse is a barndominium styled building with several independent rooms around the perimeter, each with a private entrance and listed separately on Airbnb. Room #4 has locally controlled ac/heater, full bath, 10ft vaulted ceilings, tile floors, 2 queen beds, and a kitchenette which includes sink, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, and some basic plates and silverware. The beds are solid framed cedar and memory foam mattresses. A rotating Roku TV and table/desk with Ethernet port nearby are very handy. Guest access Guests have access to the outdoor spaces all around the guesthouse from the privacy wood fence separating our home to the pond on the opposing side. Feel free to use the bench swing, fishing dock, off street parking area, and the gazebo with outdoor cooking area, propane grill, propane side burner, charcoal grill, fire pit, and outdoor table and chairs. Other things to note Pets can stay for free as long as they stay on the floor or in their kennel while indoors.
