A very beautiful charming cottage, renovated with a lot of heart and taste. The cottage is 12 minutes from St Girons and its shops located on the edge of a rural hamlet Cap d'Erp, with fabulous views of the virgin forests, valley, hills and mountains. With the Col d'Ayens 2 km walk or 3 km drive away, it's a dream starting point for hikers, trailers and mountain bikers. The space Whether you're looking for a retreat in nature or a base for experienced walking and cycling, this is the perfect rental home. There are so many walks to choose from in Col d'Ayens or many other routes in the Couserans. For the less energetic, you can relax with a short walk between Cap d'erp and Le Vignau often done by the neighborhood in the evenings. Otherwise you can relax with a book and a glass of wine, overlooking the wooded valley or watch the sun set over the mountains to the west, from the terrace. Over the past six years, Tom and Suay have put their heart and soul into a beautiful renovation, using eco-friendly building materials as much as possible. The character of this former stable has been preserved with some of the original exposed stone walls, contrasted with old wooden beams and doors. There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom on the first floor with a double bed and a convertible armchair to make an extra bed (5 people) if needed!! Bedroom 2 downstairs with a double bed or two single beds, whichever you prefer! The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, stove, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, iron, and 12 full place settings. There is a hair dryer, BBQ and Wi-Fi in the house. In the living room there is a smart TV but no French or foreign channels included! There are plenty of hiking maps plus books and a DVD player. Outside, there is a large wooden/stone terrace where you can relax and admire the view. It is equipped with a barbecue, dining table with umbrella and sun loungers. There's a bowling alley too! A few steps from the house you can use the spring water at the village fountain Bedding All linens are provided, including sheets and towels. Basic toiletries are included. Heating We have an easy-to-use and very efficient wood stove. For those who are uncomfortable with the use of wood stoves, we have 2 electric radiators. Heating costs are included in the price.
