Welcome to The Hyde Homestead.This cozy little home is waiting for you. Sicamous is half way between Calgary and Vancouver. So many amazing beaches and ski hills and just minuets to 5 snowmobiling areas and right on Hyde Mountain ( Mara hills ) Golf course. With the most prettiest veiws! We Invite you to come kick back and relax on the farm. Soak in the hot tub taking in the calm vibe.You will be pleased with this houses quaint charm and ability to help you unwind from the buzz of busy life. The space The Hyde Homestead is situated on 5 beautiful acres overlooking Mara lake. The Lake and mountain views are certain to take your breath away. There property shares space with the original Hyde House and 3 of the cutest little cabins you’ll ever lay eyes on. ( request to book the entire farm for your whole family! Wedding event or family reunion ) The Homestead is a working Farm. If you’re sensitive to tractor noise or guard dog barks at night bring your ear plugs. You will be welcomed and loved on by rescue dogs ❤️ 🐾 •You are staying on a farm. Expect free range animals. Expect curious, furry visitors. If you are not comfortable with this, there are many other wonderful places that do not offer this unique experience. Sicamous is dazzled with over 1800 miles of shore line to explore You will want to take advantage of what Mara and Shuswap lakes have to offer. Our hope is that you will feel welcomed and more like a local then a tourist when you stay with us. -lots of parking for boat/sled trailers -RV space available upon request, dry camping and extra cost. 50$ per night. The cabin with have some toilet paper to get you started, hand soap and dish soap and tabs for the dishwasher and garbage bags. • no unregistered guests welcome. Guest access The Hydeaway shares a space with a second Airbnb Home called The Log Cabin House. Making it the perfect location to host a larger get-together. (weddings/reunions) The homes are such that they are close enough for everyone, yet a perfect distance apart if you are only using one dwelling for your stay. There is a shared green ( okay going to admit it if it’s been a hot summer it will be brown , full disclosure ! ) space for all guests to enjoy. This space allows for a prefect place to run-about, toss a ball or chuck a frisbee. Picnic tables and fire pits are available for everyones use. Each home also has its own view of the lake and private spaces that are for that dwelling only. We Live on the Property as well, you'll see us feeding the animals and tending to the flower beds and gardens. ( that’s if we’re not flying to baseball mid summer, things grow wild then lol ) we like to stay pretty low key and allow you to enjoy your holiday as you like. Were Happy to be here for you the best we can, we are a social bunch so pop over and say hello whenever you like. :) * If you have other guests with you that would prefer to bring their RV in, that is available to you for a 50.00 $ fee per night. Here are some neighbouring communities and ski hills to give you an idea of how central. Salmon Arm 22 mins 39 mins to Larch hills where you will find a winery and a Nordic society, filled with beautiful groomed trails. Vernon is 45 mins Silver star Mountain is 1 hour 15mins Kelowna is 1 hr 30 mins Big White resort is 2 hr 20 min Kamloops is 2 hours Sunpeaks Ski resort is 2 hours 45 mins Revelstoke is 45 mins Revelstoke mountain is 57 mins Check out Sicamous by car (5min) There you will find a beautiful beach, with lots of sand, a splash park for the kids and a regular play park. often times there is music in the park. Its also a short walk to the main street where you will find cute shops and ice cream. If you love art, the art gallery is a short skip from there as well where you will find beautiful treasures lots of pieces that have been done by locals. Kelowna and Kamloops are host to the closest airports. Sicamous is located 1/2 way between Vancouver and Calgary. There is so much to do here, if your planning for a night or two, consider a few more to experience Sicamous properly. Unfortunately this includes all service animals due to health and safety concerns and the nature of the farm environment. •Any guest that harms or disrespects the animals living here will be asked to leave. There is a zero tolerance level for stressing the animals at The Hyde Homestead.
