The space With floor to ceiling windows and gorgeous views of the pool and gardens, exposed beams and high ceilings the pool cottage is bright and airy. It’s surrounded by tropical trees and plants. Many local boating and jet ski operators will pick you up at our docks for your adventures at sea, for everything from a day of fishing and snorkeling, and spear fishing, to an evening cruise through one of the largest canal systems in the Caribbean. Or embark on sleek jet skis to a local national park only accessible by boat (or jet ski😉). The Pool Cottage provides a cozy retreat with convenient access to our shared swimming pool. At The Bahamas Hideaway, we prioritize a relaxed and social atmosphere. While the pool is a lovely amenity, most of our guests spend their time exploring the stunning beaches nearby. You’ll be just steps from the water. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee and watch the sunrise from the dock or pick some mulberries from our tree for your morning smoothie and stroll to the beach. Ask your hosts to crack open a coconut for an afternoon treat. Don’t worry about packing snorkel gear, we’ve got you covered. Along with a variety of snorkeling equipment, we offer our guests free use of kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, beach chairs, umbrellas, and even coolers! Pack up and enjoy the day on a secluded beach. The Bahamas Hideaway is a tranquil retreat, centrally located near beaches, restaurants, and bars. We’re a short drive from Port Lucaya Marketplace (4.7 km), where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. If you pack light, we have a laundry room onsite! The property is spacious, peaceful and tranquil. Even though some areas are shared, it’s never crowded. We host a limited number of guests and the ambiance is like a tropical retreat. Along our seawall, you'll find Nassau Grouper, Parrot Fish, Sergeant Majors, Sea Horses, snappers, and often a sea turtle or eel. We can provide fishing equipment if you'd like to fish off the dock. And there’s a flourishing reef nearby to explore. If fine dining or experiencing local cuisine & culture interest you, both are walking distance away and within a few minutes drive.
