*BRAND NEW* basement apartment centrally located in Cap Hill. 953 Clarkson is a classic Denver Square home built in 1904 that has been upgraded over the years to provide a modern feel and now includes a freshly remodeled basement apartment. The space is bright, the ceilings are high, and all finishes are top-of-the-line. We hope you choose to stay in Denver at our comfortable and convenient home away from home! Please check my other listing for guest reviews! The space This apartment was thoughtfully designed for two guests to be comfortable for short, mid, or long-term stays. The apartment includes a full kitchen (oven, fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, and sink) with counter seating for two to enjoy cooking at home or coffee in the mornings. There is ample living space with a comfortable West Elm leather chaise couch, smart TV, and a dedicated desk workstation equipped with USB-C/iPhone cable and extra outlets beneath to maximize productivity. The ensuite queen bedroom, full bathroom, and walk-in closet can be closed off with a sliding door or left open to the rest of the unit. The unit also includes a washer and dryer for your convenience which is especially nice for longer stays. The space is equipped with a smart TV, high-speed WiFi, and a Sonos speaker. This unit does not offer cable TV. Note: this is a basement unit and therefore you may hear noise from the upper level from time to time. The basement was constructed with as much sound resistant measures as possible to mitigate this. Guest access Guests will be given check-in instructions through the app with a code to the keyless entry. The apartment has a private entrance via the sidewalk to the South of the house. You will not access this unit from the front door of the main house, please proceed to the sidewalk to the South of the house, the door with be on your right. The entryway to the basement unit is illuminated at night for safety and ease of access. Throughout the stay, guests will have access to the entire basement-level apartment and the amenities included in the listing. Other things to note It is important to note that this is an old home and therefore, you might hear some residual noise from the upper level. The basement unit was constructed with as many sound barriers as possible to mitigate this. We live upstairs full time but, occasionally rent out the main level unit as well. Unless you need something or there is an emergency, you will not see us throughout your stay. Should you need something, please contact us through the app and we will respond as quickly as possible. Both units will abide by the house rules and respect the quiet hours mandated between 10 PM - 8 AM. The unit does not have its own temperature control as the thermostat for the home is located in the upper level. That said, the home is set at a constant 67 degrees and there are vents in the unit that can be adjusted to regulate airflow. A space heater is also provided should you need it. The home system is controlled by a smart app, so please message if we need to make an adjustment. Since it is a basement unit, it is typically quite cool compared to the other levels of the home. The use of drones is not permitted in the neighborhood or on the property. Cap Hill is a safe but, urban area. Please keep that in mind. Registration Details 2018-BFN-0004864
