Hike to the Gjeravica summit in just three hours, discover serene mountain lakes like Lake of Heart and Lake of Gjeravica, and visit the UNESCO-listed Deçani Monastery on your way. The space The cabin is built in harmony with nature, wrapping itself around rocks and taking advantage of absolutely spectacular views. Enjoy plenty of natural light and stunning views through the large windows and glass doors, blurring the lines between inside and outside. Kick back in the cozy living area, whip up meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and gather around the dining table for meals and chats. Every detail is designed to make you feel at home. Spend quality time reconnecting with nature and loved ones by playing games, reading, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Located on the Peaks of the Balkans and Via Dinarica trails, our cabin is a great starting point for exploration. Hike to the triple border (trekufinjt), Kosovo - Albania -Montenegro in just 90 minutes or challenge yourself with a hike to the iconic Gjeravica summit (alt. 2656m) for breathtaking views. Explore nearby mountain lakes like Tropoja, Gjeravica, and the heart-shaped Lake of Heart, all within a short hike. These hidden gems offer a peaceful escape and a chance to connect with nature. Guest access Our cabin is 7.3 km off the main road, reached by an exhilarating 4×4 drive through rugged mountain terrain in the valley of Deçani. The road follows the winding Lumbardhi River, with stunning views that set the perfect tone for the peaceful retreat ahead. Two ways to get here: -Drive your own 4×4 – Ideal for guests who enjoy a bit of adventure and want the freedom to explore. - Hike in – Park at the last point accessible by a regular vehicle and enjoy a scenic 2-hour hike to the cabin. This is a great way to immerse yourself in nature right from the start. No 4×4? No problem. We offer a round-trip 4×4 transfer service from the last point accessible by a regular car for €100. This includes pick-up, luggage transport, and a safe, comfortable ride straight to the cabin and back at the end of your stay. Other things to note Altitude and Fresh Water: Our cabin is located at an altitude of 1830 meters, allowing you to experience the beauty of the Albanian Alps from a unique perspective. You'll have access to fresh, mountain-sourced water, ensuring a refreshing and natural hydration option during your stay. Electricity and Energy Usage: The cabin is equipped with a solar system that provides electricity for all daily needs. Warm Water and Kitchen Facilities: our cabin runs fully off-grid. For this reason, the boiler can only be used during the daytime while the sun is out. After sunset we kindly ask that it’s not turned on, as it could discharge the batteries and affect the lights. The kitchen features a gas cooktop, allowing you to prepare meals with ease while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
