Dar Hamouda - B&B Zohra

Dar Hamouda was built in the 17th century and has undergone several restorations, the most recent of which lasted from 2017 to 2023 and is part of the logic of safeguarding Tunisian cultural heritage. The space The house consists of a central hall, living room, four suites (bedroom with bathroom), kitchen and panoramic terrace with its own kitchen. The central hall, covered with marble like the whole house, gives access to the rooms. It is composed of a table and eight chairs where guests can have lunch, dinner or work. The bedrooms have false ceilings in the form of richly decorated and painted wooden beams. They reflect decorative elements belonging to multiple cultures. The beds are enhanced with carved, worked and painted wood panels. The living room is composed of a German piano surrounded by a sofa and adjoined by a large sideboard on which you can discover a selection of books on the History of Tunisia. The large window overlooks the minaret of the Hamouda Pasha Mosque. A great place to lounge and relax over mint tea With its immaculate whiteness, the terrace offers a breathtaking spectacle day and night, capturing the very essence of Tunis. The minarets of the mosques stand proudly as witnesses to the cultural and religious richness of Tunis. The terrace is a magical place that invites contemplation. Guest access You will have access to your rooms but also to the common areas, namely the kitchens, the bathroom, the living room, the hall as well as the terrace. Other things to note It is impossible to park in front of the house. It's a pedestrian street. For parking, it is recommended to park your car at Sadiki College, Rue Sinen Pacha. Parking is free.
