Less than a kilometer to the convenience store. Distance to Kaustinen about 10 km, to Kemora motorway about 12 km, to Kokkola about 60 km. The apartment practically corresponds to a studio with a sauna without a kitchen. The space has its own entrance with an electric lock, so you can arrive freely and without any time limits. Due to a remote electric lock, you can check in independently with a code without having to schedule arrival times. You can get a car conveniently in front of the entrance. Great for both remote work space and accommodations. The space is equipped with both the knowledge worker's remote work needs and relaxation needs. For sleeping, the room has an alcove with a 140cm wide double bed. Next to the bed is a nightstand with a reading lamp. Next to the bed is a wardrobe with extra quilts and space for your own clothes. For a time in the room, a comfy sofa with a diagonally dining fireplace in front and a TV (no antenna connection) with a Chromecast installed in front of it. Chromecast works through the Internet connection found in the house and allows you to view things like YLE Arena, Youtube, or Netflix (requires login with your own Netflix IDs). There's also an HDMI cable for connecting your own laptop. For remote work needs, there is an electric table with a saddle chair in front of the room. There are two external monitors on the electric table for remote work needs. One of the screens is the 4K dock screen, which you can connect directly to a portable with a USB-C led, and the screen will also charge a portable. One of the screens is a 2K screen with both HDMI and Display Port connections. If your laptop has both USB-C and HDMI/Displayport connections, you can connect both screens to your laptop at the same time. The remote workspace is built for the homeowner's own needs, but is naturally available to guests. The fireplace room can also be accessed from the sauna and toilet on the floor. There is a only ready stove in the sauna, which is easy to turn on. The stove heats up to sauna in just over half an hour. There are no other accommodations on the same floor, but there is access from the fireplace room through the curtain to the common utility room of the apartment, where you can find a washer and dryer. The laundry room has stairs up to the rest of the apartment. At the top of the stairs is a door that limits access to the rest of the apartment. A beautiful yard with terrace in a single-family home with terrace is available to guests. Possibility to agree on the use of a wood-burning yard sauna. Guest access A basement with a fireplace room and an attached bathroom and sauna are reserved exclusively for the use of the guests. The laundry room in the basement is a general utility room in the apartment, but during short-term stays (1-2 nights) it is not normally used for the needs of the rest of the apartment. The kitchen and dining area on the middle floor of the apartment are part of the host family. When the host family is present, you have the opportunity to inquire about breakfast. Other things to note PETS: ---------- Indoor cats and dogs are welcome. The apartment has been seasonally with the host's two cute cats, so please note this if you are very allergic. However, the apartment is not equipped with pet supplies, but must be carried. If you're traveling with your pets, please make sure you have everything you need (food cups, a cat litter box) BREAKFAST / KITCHEN USE The--------------------------------------- fireplace room itself is not suitable for long-term stays if you plan to cook in the space. Although there is a microwave, coffee maker, and electric kettle in the apartment, the space does not have a separate, functional kitchen. However, for dining needs, you can usually find the right solutions. Depending on the situation, it's possible to either get a hosted breakfast or use the upstairs kitchen itself. The prepared breakfast is a service for an additional fee, and its availability varies. Breakfast is served on the middle floor of the apartment. Always ensure breakfast availability in advance before booking if the availability of breakfast is the deciding factor! However, the fireplace room is available for self-catering guests, even when the apartment is otherwise empty. In this case, guests can use the kitchen areas on the middle floor as long as the traces are carefully cleaned and used dishes are washed (by hand or with a dishwasher). The spaces on the middle floor of the apartment (kitchen + living room) are not included in the so-called space for rent, and the cleaning fee has not been taken into account that these would be cleaned between each visit.
