Jan's Art Nest: Cozy Riverside Suite!
Jan's Art Nest: Cozy Riverside Suite!
Description
You will love Jan’s Art Nest if you’re touring Wichita, traveling through, attending a conference, or giving yourself a peaceful retreat. “The Nest” is three beautiful rooms with your own semi-private entrance, back yard and patio — central to Wichita in the quaint North Riverside neighborhood, close to parks and museums. Need tips on what to see or where to eat? Your host has a guide for that! You’ll love the artistic vibe here — it’s a joyful destination connecting you to Wichita’s art scene. The space My 1930 bungalow is in a wooded neighborhood beside a disc golf course, five minutes from downtown, twelve minutes from Eisenhower National Airport, and five minutes from I-135 or the I-235 bypass. I’m between the Big Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers, and just south of me, at their confluence, you can visit “The Keeper of the Plains,” the 44-foot Indian chief sculpture that marks this sacred junction, the most photographed spot in the city! Guest access I like to meet you as you arrive and park in my driveway! But if I’m not home, you’ll walk around the back of the house, to the sunroom’s side door, where you let yourself in with the digital lock. Just inside on the right look for YOUR NAME on the welcome sign: that DOOR takes you 8 steps DOWN to Jan’s Art Nest. The sunroom is the passage to your rooms, but it’s also my office and connects up to my living area. DON’T go past the green plaid curtain, the boundary to the steps going UP to my space on the main floor, where my bedroom is directly above yours. When you shut the STAIR DOOR, I won't come into your downstairs space without prior arrangement. Your bedroom and bathroom are directly below mine, and with no complete sound barrier between our rooms, I ask for quiet time between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. During your stay I love being a host, and welcoming you to the space is important to me. Since I live right above you, I end check-in at 10 PM. Contact me through the Airbnb app with any needs regarding your rooms or ideas on places to eat and things to do in Wichita! I’m enthusiastic about my city and collect recommendations for restaurants. Copies of the current Visit Wichita Magazine, brochures for local attractions, and tourist guides to Kansas are in your rooms for you to read and keep. I’m especially informed on Wichita’s arts scene, and you’ll find gallery and museum information here. Other things to note If you're driving, please park in my driveway, especially in bad weather and when you are bringing luggage in. Otherwise, it’s best to park on the street in front of the house so I can get my car out.
