The space Echoes of Eden Forest Haven is a beautifully-decorated, luxury safari tent with a spacious slate verandah hugged by indigenous trees. The sunken bath tub is perfectly situated for the sweeping view of the valley while ensuring your complete privacy. Enjoy a steaming hot bath under the stars. During the sunny hours, fill the tub with cool water for a private plunge pool and enjoy sunbathing on the reclining Adirondack-style chairs. Luxurious bathrobes, towels and a yoga mat are provided. Watch the sunset around a small fire in the fire pit provided which can also double as a grill. Take a short walk to the riverfront to enjoy collecting stones or dipping in the cool, flowing waters. A hot shower and flushing toilet is also available inside the tent in a separate area that can be partitioned off with zipped 'doors'. Echoes of Eden Forest Haven is one of two luxury tents located near each other. PETS We have a friendly German shepherd named Frodo on the property who are under the supervision of our staff at all times. KITCHENETTE The kitchenette is equipped with a medium size fridge to keep cooked food and drinks cold. The freezer provides enough space to make ice or keep food frozen. You can heat up pre-prepared food in the microwave or cook on a single burner induction cooker. We also provide a small charcoal grill on the verandah if you want to grill meat. There is no oven in the tent. If needed, ask staff for access to another full kitchen located about 100 meters away. HIRE A COOK We can also arrange a cook for $15 or 2000 ksh per day who will prepare meals for you using the food and menu you provide. It is necessary to book the cook at least 24 hrs in advance. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The beds can be arranged as two twins or a luxurious King size with high quality bedding and warm duvets. Just let us know your preference ahead of time. There is a parking space dedicated specifically for the River Retreat tent. Guest access You will be free to enjoy the entire property as well as surrounding forest. Let us know if you want to go on a hike, a bird walk or down to the riverfront and we will ensure someone is available to show you the way around. If you need airport pickup or drop-off, we can arrange for our trusted taxi driver to meet you. He will wait outside the airport with a sign displaying your name. The treatments range from 60-120 min and include Swedish, aromatherapy, deep tissue, Banesh or a one-of-a-kind couples massage ranging in price from $40 - $140. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to add this to your stay. SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS Flower Decoration Package: Are you celebrating a special occasion? We can decorate a bed with your special message using flower petals as well as scattering them around the bathtub for an ultra-romantic ambiance. $12/1500 ksh (see Airbnb for photos). ECHOES OF EDEN MEDITATION EXPERIENCE: Join Miriam for 2 hours of body-soul connection. Choose from activities like guided meditations, a short listening pilgrimage across stunning landscapes, one-on-one personal spiritual coaching, or mindful tree planting to heal the earth. $60/7800 ksh for 2 hours/couple and $20/2500 ksh per hour thereafter. Ask Miriam about full retreat packages. HIKING/BIRDWATCHING: Enjoy rugged walking trails at no cost. If you'd prefer a bird walk with local bird guide we can arrange one for you at $25/3500 ksh BICYCLE RENTAL: Go mountain biking on dirt trails nearby the property for $10/bike/day. Lake Naivasha Boat Rides and Walking Safari on Crescent Island: Round-trip Taxi + 1-hour Boat Tour: $80/couple (10,000 ksh) Crescent Island Entry: $33/person (non-resident), payable on-site. Naivasha Raptor Centre - Kenya Bird of Prey Trust The Naivasha Raptor Centre is open to visitors daily at 11:00am and 15:00pm (by appointment only). To schedule a visit please message their contacts available online or send them a message on their social media channels. A minimum donation of 1000 KES for adults and 500 KES for children 13 and under is expected. We can arrange a taxi to take you there.
