The space Two bedroom, two bath home (hosts use one; guests use the other) set for 1-2 guests (for those with a third person, please reach out prior to booking). Large Private bedroom includes: - Two windows overlooking the spacious backyard and pond. - Queen bed with lux linens and pillow selection. - Closet and drawer space. - Spacious desk - 4 charging ports plus super fast fiber internet! - Ceiling fan +desk lamp + standing lamp + throwback lava lamp. - Sound machine with options for sleep, relax & renew. - Project, puzzle or candle table. - Welcome tray w/carafe & treats. - adult art book items, games or reading materials to help unwind. - tourist info to help inspire exploring our great town or make the most of your road trip. SHARED: - Living area with large Roku smart TV with many commercial free streaming channels and DVDs. - Window bench with seating and pillows: watch the birds or curl up with a book or magazine. - Built-in bookcases with Karis’ latest non-fiction, Pat’s latest fiction, magazines, plus loads of games to enjoy. (We love games!) - Open kitchen (guests may use as desired for meal prep) - Coffee, tea, Berkey water filter 24/7. - Dine at the table, the counter bar, back deck or the table in your room. - Exercise items: (Yoga mat and kettle weights) - Indoor gas fireplace. Front yard has fruit trees, bird feeders that attract many varieties of birds to enjoy, plus our flag pole flying old glory. Covered front porch with welcome bench is a nice spot for morning coffee or tea or sunset view. Backyard is very large with massive mature trees, a nice swing overlooking the pond. A deck with pergola, BBQ, seating, Edison lights, and a bug light. Playground. Peddle boat available. Fishing pole available. Guest access Your private bedroom retreat plus the full bath (tub and shower combo) exclusively yours during the stay. Guests are allowed in any part of the house or yard except the master bedroom and bath. During your stay This is where we live, and we are semi-retired, active in ministry so are available but also busy. We take our cue from the guest: we chat and share about our favorite eateries and shops if asked or leave guests on their own if they seek privacy. Living room, kitchen and outdoor spaces are shared with the hosts and our two dogs. Your bedroom and bathroom are exclusively yours and we nor the dogs ever enter. Other things to note PETS: Skippy is our old lady rescue, and Shadow is an escape artist who will bolt so use care entering and exiting the house or using any exterior gates that are part of our backyard fencing for Pond access. No pets or service animals allowed so as to not stress our older doggies. Our dogs will bark when you arrive to greet you, but are well trained and do not ever jump up on anyone. They also never enter guest bedroom. 3rd Person: Those traveling with an infant, child or a third person can discuss adding them to the reservation for a nominal fee. We can, with notice, set up a pack n play or air mattress. Please inquire about these options prior to booking for 3. To control room rates for all, any guest who wishes to use the washer and dryer may do so for a nominal fee per load to cover the added rising costs of hot water, detergent and electricity. There is no smoking inside the house. we do allow outside smoking away from doors and windows. Absolutely NO evidence can be left of outside smoking. None. So use a can or bottle to dispose of any cig butts.
