Historic family house in downtown Beacon
Historic family house in downtown Beacon
Description
As seen on HGTV's small town potential, our house is a large, spacious family home with private waterside access located steps away from Main St in Beacon. This 1860s house has many original features but modernised with a lot of color and character. It's our family home that we rent when we're out of town. It has 3 bedrooms that sleep 5 and other rooms with sofa beds for bigger groups up to 9 people. There are bikes, kayaks, a BBQ and many games to enjoy during your stay. The space This our family home that we rent when we're out of town. It has 3 bedrooms that sleep 5 and other rooms with sofa beds for bigger groups. The master bedroom has a king size bed with an en suite shower and bathroom. The second bedroom is a full size bed with en suite bath/shower. The third bedroom has a twin bed. There are two living rooms downstairs and an office. Both living rooms have full size sofa beds. One has doors for complete privacy. The office has a twin size sofa bed. The house has a patio out back with BBQ and garden table with umbrella and seating for 6 for outdoor dining. There is a front porch that looks out towards the waterfall for evening relaxation. There is a 65 in TV with all of the streaming apps for family movie night and an outdoor/indoor screen and projector if you feel like using it. The house has lots of entertainments, including bikes, kayaks, snow shoes and outdoor games. We have lots of books and games for the family to play. For babies and toddlers, we have a high chair, pack and play, stair guards, baby bath, toys and puzzles. One thing to note is that the house has steep stairs, going up to the entrance and also inside, so if mobility is an issue, it's worth checking with us first. I'm in my 60's and am fine with it, but worth being aware of. Guest access You'll have access to the full house, we just have some locked closets and a locked basement.
