A lot of time and effort has gone into making this space as comfortable as possible and we hope to share it for a long time. Please be considerate and respectful of the property. Other things to note Shoe-Free For the sake of cleanliness and sustainability, we kindly ask that you remove your shoes upon entering the house. A shoe rack and hooks are provided at the entrance for your convenience. Feel free to bring cozy indoor shoes to wear during your stay. Pet Guidelines: -We welcome small dogs under 30lbs (max 2 dogs) but please inform us if your furry companion(s) will be joining (no cats due to allergies). -A pet fee of $75 per stay will be added to the reservation -Keep dogs OFF furniture and bedding to avoid additional cleaning or replacement fees. -Do not wash dogs in bathtubs. -Dogs must be crated if left unattended in the house (crate provided in the sunroom closet). -Clean up ALL dog mess with provided poop bags found in the entryway closet. -Use labeled "paw towels" in the front entry closet to clean muddy or dirty paws. Outdoor Etiquette: -Be mindful of wildlife; keep food/trash in designated containers to avoid attracting wild animals. -Use straps on the the outdoor trash containers to keep them securely fastened. *****Pest Control: Our country home is in the middle of 15 acres of forested land so it’s possible during unusually warm weather in the winter and thaws and rain in the spring and summer, to see a few bugs sneak in (spiders, gnats, ladybugs, beetles, ants, etc.). This is one of the "joys" of staying in an old country home and this should be considered a part of the experience without any additional expectations. The house will be pest-free when you check in, so please help us keep it that way by not leaving doors and windows open and properly discarding of food and trash. Unfortunately, if you fail to do this during your stay we will have to charge an additional fee for cleaning, if required. Additionally, you must keep the straps on the trash receptacle beside the garage on to avoid large animals from rummaging through the trash. This is not only an issue of cleanliness but also safety, as we do not want to encourage bears or other wildlife to look for food on our property. Additional cleaning fees will also apply if trash is not properly secured and managed. ***** Sauna Safety: -Only guests aged 18+ may use the sauna. -Consult a doctor before using if pregnant or experiencing health conditions affected by heat and humidity. -Do not use the sauna while intoxicated or under the influence. -No food or drinks allowed inside the sauna. -Use provided sauna towels on benches. - Limit use to 15-20 minutes per session. Other Considerations: No smoking or vaping inside the house or sauna. No parties, photoshoots, or events. Additional Amenities: High-speed internet, washer/dryer, propane grill, dishwasher, microwave, dog crate, high chair, board games, and puzzles.
