Wake up to the sunrise over Lake Muskellunge, a wonderful place to unwind and relax. This bright and comfortable cottage is nestled right on the shore of an all sports lake in Trufant, Mi. The perfect getaway for any season. The space Just a short drive from Grand Rapids, our cottage offers you the perfect getaway from the city. Our comfortable cottage is open and airy and allows multiple views of the lake from almost every room! The space has everything to make you feel at home – WiFi, Netflix, washer and dryer, queen size beds, well equipped kitchen, and tableware. As you enter the cottage you will find a large and remodeled bedroom that includes 2 queen beds and 1 futon. You will continue down the hallway where it opens to a bright dining room surrounded by windows with a lake view. The dining room then opens to our kitchen followed by a cozy living room. It then circles back around where you will find 2 more bedrooms each with a queen bed. Along the kitchen and living room are 2 large slider doors that open to the deck and our gorgeous screened in porch that has enough seating for every guest! Outside on the deck, you will find 2 patio tables with umbrellas and a grill. Beyond the deck as you walk down to the water, there is a firepit to enjoy smores or some extra warmth on cool nights. Along the shore you will find a canopy with an outdoor couch and Adirondack chairs. We offer 2 kayaks, 1 stand up paddleboard, a Lilypad, various water floats, cornhole, and family games for guest use. The cottage has an aluminum dock that is great for jumping off or fishing from. Muskellunge lake has public access should you want to bring your boat! Appliances/Basics: Washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeepot, central air conditioning, gas fireplace (coming this fall), ceiling fans, box fans, extra blankets, 4 pillows on each bed, life jackets. Please note we have well water. The Lawn: Please note, our yard is wet! As you walk from the house to the lake, your feet and shoes will get wet from ground water. When walking to the lake, if you stay to the left, it is drier than to the right. However, it is just water! We are working to resolve this issue but want to be transparent. The Lake: Lake Muskellunge is gorgeous! It is a spring fed lake and is great for swimming, fishing, boating, and floating! In the winter months, when the lake has frozen over, it is great for ice fishing. Parking: We have a large driveway that offers parking up to approximately 9 vehicles plus additional street parking. There is extra property space to park a boat trailer only, 4 houses down and across the street. The Area: The quaint town of Trufant is known for their Thursday morning Flea Market which is right up the road from our cottage! Trufant also offers two small stops for drinks, snacks, and basic pantry items. There is one Mexican restaurant, 1 pizza place, and 1 tavern that also serves lunch and dinner to all ages. The Trufant Tavern also provides nightly entertainment ranging from karaoke to a live DJ. In the area you will also find multiple golf courses. Greenville and Cedar Springs are the nearest towns which are approximately 15-20 minute drives and offer large grocery stores, restaurant’s, and entertainment. Grand Rapids is a beautiful city within a 45 minute drive from our cottage and offers world-class attractions, outdoor recreation, nationally ranked restaurants and breweries.
