With nature nearby, this cozy hideaway is the perfect mix of comfort and simplicity ,the various bird calls evidence of the safe haven. The tiny house faces the afternoon sun and is protected from the prevailing wind off the lake by the many trees nearby. A short walk to that Wanaka Tree and the lake . The space The Tiny house has a pretty outlook overlooking park like grounds with a fence for privacy from the neighbour’s. ( of which are mostly upmarket holiday homes and a Lodge accommodation across the road ) It’s off a Cul de sac, 50 metres from a large Heritage Park through which you can take a short walk to the Lake and the Wanaka tree. It’s well insulated with double glazing so warm in the winter and cool in the summer . Comfy Queen bed - snuggle up with fresh crisp 100% cotton sheets , cosy duvet and blankets . Enjoy the blackout curtains to help you sleep on those long summer evenings and the electric blanket when it’s cold . The sheets and the duvets are washed and dried naturally in the sunlight and replaced after every guest . The bathroom in the tiny house has a shower and toilet. But because its a compact space we opted for a larger shower and put the hand basin in the bedroom . The upside of all of this is there is an abundance of hot water on offer and good shower pressure and a heated tower rail to keep your towels dry . Well equipped Kitchen with a double hob top, microwave , rice cooker , blender and a drinks fridge along with a full fridge/ freezer, . There are plenty of pots and pans etc. Plates , glasses , cutlery etc provided Make your morning brew or simple meals with ease There is also a dishwasher installed in the pantry with plenty of complimentary dishwasher pods . There is “No oven “ in the kitchen as with space being at a premium the Washer/dryer machine won out . The washer / dryer comes with plenty of complimentary washing powder . There is no room for an ironing board and iron ( I don’t wish to clutter up the place ) but can loan one if needed . Complimentary Teas , coffee, sugar, milk and a few sweet treats are provided , along with assorted condiments in the pantry. A Nespresso machine and milk frother with an abundance of assorted coffee pods has been added In the lounge is a comfortable couch and a 50 inch smart TV with a table and two comfortable chairs on which you can enjoy your meals or just do work on your laptop . Comes with a Heatpump that provides warmth in the winter and turns into an air conditioner in the summer . EV charger is available on request . Level 1 . Plug type 1 or plug type 2 . A short 5 mins walk through the large park to the lake and the famous Wanaka Tree. Approximately 20 mins walk or 2 mins drive by car to Wanaka CBD. On the route to Treble Cone ski field and just around the corner from the road heading to Cardrona ski field. 4 mins drive to the carpark of the Mt Roy hiking trail and Rippon vineyard. Guest access You have access from the road / footpath, along the short path up to the tiny house. The front of the tiny house and the deck are yours alone and you have the use of off street parking for one car tucked in behind the tiny house on the white pebbles Other things to note .The Tiny house is not suitable for babies , toddlers or small children as it doesn’t have the Airbnb recommended child safety features installed. Be aware the tiny house is adjacent to our family home and there are other people living on other parts of our property as well as ourselves. Also if you have need of an iron and ironing board I can loan you one . With space being a premium I don’t wish to clutter up the place .
