Just a short stroll down the beach, you can take a side street to cross over to the other side of the headland, where an estuary awaits. At low tide, enjoy the thrill of hunting for crabs, digging for cockles, gathering mussels, or bringing your fishing rod to try your luck from the jetty—then return home to prepare your own seafood feast and pick fresh organic greens from the vegetable and herb garden. Local Walks are plentiful and from the house you can explore the entire beach and straight onto the Huriawa headland for dramatic clifftop walking and splendid views. There are two driveways and ample parking space if you wish to bring your boat or ocean toys. Inside the home, embrace our coastal barefoot luxury vibes—a perfect blend of new and vintage elements, art, biophilic design, and thoughtfully curated interiors. Relax in the cozy lounge, with six double rooms, each en suite, featuring luxury organic linens and top-quality beds. Our kitchen, complete with an AGA, boasts a commercial-grade oven, gas cooktop, and all the kitchen accessories you could desire. The Karitane General Store is just a short walk away, stocking all your essentials, along with daily baked goods, great coffee and tea, and delicious wood-fired pizza available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (bookings essential).
