While it’s attached to the main house, the Casita is fully private with its own entrance and no shared indoor spaces. Please note: shared walls may result in occasional, muffled household sounds. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire indoor Casita as well as the private, gated outdoor area ideal for relaxing and enjoying your own peaceful space. Other things to note AC Usage: Please do not set the thermostat below 70°F in the summer or above 80°F in the winter. The unit is shared with a section of the main house, and to avoid compressor burnout and conserve energy, the temperature difference between spaces must remain within 3 degrees. – We provide fans for additional comfort. – If you require cooler temperatures, please let us know—we may be able to adjust the main house setting to accommodate you. No Smoking: Absolutely NO smoking is allowed anywhere on the property—inside or outside. A $350 fee will be charged for any violation of this rule. Energy Use: Please turn off all lights, electronics, and appliances when not in use. House Rules: Be sure to read the online house rules in full.
