Come explore a historic general store building in a hidden village at the dead end of a mountain road in high-desert castle country. The (Old Company) Store provides live-work space to artists who produce and display their work in our gallery. Our mission is to support the arts and initiate revitalization projects in our surrounding community. We hope you'll enjoy the studio, gallery and garden spaces that are shared with other guests and resident artists. The space This building is 115 years old and was originally a general store, bakery, barbershop , confectionary, and also housed the town's post office until just recently. Since purchasing the building in 2018, we have been lovingly restoring and reinventing it to be a space for art, community, and permaculture practice. Guest access Main hall/art gallery Front porch Back garden During your stay I enjoy socializing if you want to talk about anything! I'm also more than happy to give you your space and be silently out of the way. Other things to note We'd appreciate it if you keep your shoes off inside the room. You'll better enjoy the heated tile floor that way! Please no amplified music outdoors.. we like to help maintain the extraordinarily quiet, zen atmosphere of this beautiful place.
