A Refuge is a place denoting a small, safe space in a troubled world. Kind of like an oasis in a desert or an island on a stormy sea. Exactly with this thought, we went in search of such a place in 2022 and found it here. A small typical village in the center of Portugal, without hectic, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where you can just BE. But also with great river beaches, wakeboarding, kayaking, jet skiing, etc.. , etc. The space The entire retreat consists of a main house and a small cottage, which are situated on one plot. The cottage and the main house are connected by a small path (20 metres) that leads to the outdoor kitchen of the main house. In the main house there are 3 bedrooms with double beds and a large sofa bed in the living room. In addition, the main house has a kitchen, living room, dining area, balcony and 2 bathrooms. The cottage has 1 bedroom, 1 living room with a pull-out sofa bed, 1 bathroom and a fully functional kitchen, as well as a small private outdoor area with a barbecue.
