This one-of-a-kind space began life as a carnival trailer, later became Crane 29—a floating guest pod in Bristol Harbour—and is now reborn as a creative countryside escape. It’s a place to slow down, switch off, and reconnect with nature. ________________________________________ 🛏 Inside the Kaleidofloat • Sky Bedroom: A king-size bed beneath a domed sky window, perfect for stargazing or cloud-watching from bed. • Howl’s Bunk Room: Inspired by Howl’s Moving Castle, this charming nook has porthole windows, soft lighting, and a top bunk accessed by ladder (ages 8+). • Living & Dining: A spacious, cosy lounge with a wood-burning stove, 4 dining areas (indoor and out), and a compact kitchen with gas hobs, oven, fridge, and generous prep space. • Eschower: A private hot shower, playfully designed in tribute to the artist you may not remember but will instantly recognise - MC Escher. • Private Cinema: A 4-seat cinema room with 150+ films ready to enjoy (or bring your own and plug in to the HDMI!). ________________________________________ 🌱 Outdoors & Surroundings • Deck & Firepit: Ideal for BBQs or relaxing under the stars. • Veg Patch & Polytunnel: In summer, pick-your-own salads, herbs, and tomatoes from raised beds and the greenhouse lounge. • Nature All Around: Stroll through the wildflower meadow, watch deer and barn owls, or simply take in the quiet beauty of the Somerset countryside. ________________________________________ 🚿 Essentials • The loo and shower are in a heated structure just a few steps away. • This is a low-impact, eco-friendly stay with USB charging, reliable 4G, and one power socket (in the cinema room). • The lower bunk is 15cm shorter than a standard single—ideal for children or smaller adults. ________________________________________ 📌 Good to Know • Access involves steps and a short walk to the loo. The surrounding meadow is part of an organic hay crop, so please use the mown paths. • The Kaleidofloat sits beside a quiet rural road, with the occasional passing tractor—otherwise, it’s just birdsong and breezes. ________________________________________ ✨ Why You'll Love It Whether you're after a romantic escape, a creative retreat, or a unique adventure with older kids, the Kaleidofloat delivers charm, character, and comfort in equal measure. Every detail tells a story—and every guest leaves with a trove of Five Star memories. Guest access There are steps up to the entrance and it is a short walk (about 20 steps) to the loo. A path is mown for you to walk down the field- keep out of the long grass as it is a hay meadow/ crop that needs to be carefully tended. The farm is organic- no chemicals etc. Other things to note This is a low-impact, eco-conscious stay — a chance to slow down and enjoy life off the grid (without going without). • Cooking is on 2 gas hobs, a small gas oven, or the firepit. The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a super-efficient Liebherr fridge with a small freezer compartment — but no electric gadgets. • There’s a USB charging point and good 4G coverage most of the time. One standard plug socket is available in the cinema room. • The lower bunk is 15cm shorter than a standard single bed — best suited to children or smaller adults. • The Kaleidofloat is full of rare, playful and characterful items — we kindly ask guests to treat them with care and curiosity.
