It's like you found your own private island. Grand Turk is a special little quiet place which has yet to be discovered by the masses. Welcome to our home, BeachsideBungalow, we are sure you will love it as over 250 past guests have. Our home is directly on the prettiest beach on the whole island (Pillory Beach), and the beaches of the Turks & Caicos Islands are consistently ranked best in the WORLD year after year. Our home is centrally located, close to everything.. In addition to that, Grand Turk is also ranked in the top 10 SCUBA dive sites in the world year after year.. The BeachsideBungalow was extensively remodeled and a huge rear porch and built-in barbecue grill was added in July of 2013. All new bathrooms, kitchens, appliances, furniture, beds, curtains, sheets, towels - everything is new and wonderful. Now after Hurricane Irma in 2017 we have gone back through and added AIR CONDITIONING to the whole house, new fridges, new shower tile and fixtures, new king beds and mattresses, a new sofa bed to sleep 6 on the larger side of our duplex, new decor, and new paint everywhere. Our Turks BeachsideBungalow also has the good fortune of being located less than 100 yards from the grocery store with the largest selection on the island and 300 yards in the opposite direction, the nicest restaurant on the whole island at Bohio resort. Bohio is also where you can rent a Hobie Cat, paddleboards, kayaks, and extra bicycles. They also have snorkel trips, scuba trips, and whale watching excursions. All of it just a short walk down the beach just north of our BeachsideBungalow. At night we will get dressed, walk down the beach to Bohio, take pretty sunset pictures, have a fantastic chef prepared meal, and then walk back to our quiet little Turks BeachsideBungalow under the stars. VERY ROMANTIC! 6 more island favorite restaurants are towards downtown, a 10 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride away. Plenty of other restaurant and bar options on the island. Two bikes per Bungalow side are now available for free to cruise the island. Grand Turk is a special quiet little island which has yet to be discovered by the developers and tourists. We can sit on the beach for hours and sometimes days without seeing a single person. Very Special! However, on cruise ship days there will be a bit more activity on the island and near our beach. The cruisers are usually on the island for about 5 to 6 hours during the day, so their impact is pretty limited. A late boat will pack up before 5, so our sunsets are always secluded and private! Year round temperatures of 75 to 88 make for an Ideal winter or summer getaway. We snorkel in December. Getting here is fairly easy, but does require an extra flight to get over to Grand Turk. We usually fly American Airlines to Providenciales, Turks & Caicos, (airport code PLS) and then either Intercaribbean or Caicos Express Airlines to Grand Turk. (about $80 round trip for the puddle jumper). Look these up online to purchase separately from your main flight from the US or go to our "getting here" page on our main booking website BeachsideBungalow for instructions and hotlinks to the local airlines. Airbnb will end up slightly cheaper than the other big 3 listing sites after taxes and their extra "booking fee" are added to our regular rates. So IF you feel like you must use a listing site, please use Airbnb... You will also need to inquire first to ask which side of our duplex home is actually available - please don't instant book because if you need to move your dates around or make any changes, Airbnb will keep your booking fee and charge you another one! Airbnb quotes and books the smaller side of our BeachsideBungalow duplex. The larger side is $45 more per night and you'll need to CONTACT ME FIRST to book it. The smaller side sleeps 4 and the larger side sleeps 6 with a sofabed. Guest access Wireless internet is available free at the house. The whole island now has fiber optic wiring and it is better internet service than I have here in the US. We can Facetime back home and stream Netflix movies. Other things to note We are on Grand Turk - a separate island from the main tourist destinations. That's a plus! Duplex units are separated by a 10 inch thick concrete wall for absolute privacy. Whole house is air conditioned, many rentals in the Turks & Caicos are not. Pricing includes all taxes and cleaning.
