Description

The Gîte Van G offers the "office" space, furnished NON-SMOKING, approximately 115 m2, on 2 levels. It has free private parking and a large garden, facing south. The accommodation was created in a former office building. With its two double beds and single bed, the space can accommodate 5 people. It is ideal for 1 couple with children, 2 couples, or 2 independent people. For a larger group, see my 2nd accommodation, adjoining but independent. The space ACCOMMODATION CAPACITY The non-smoking accommodation offers 3 beds: 2 double beds (160 X 200) and 1 single bed. It can comfortably accommodate 1 to 5 people: 1 person alone, 1 couple with children, 2 couples, or 2 to 3 colleagues not wishing to share the same bed. FOR A LARGER GROUP, SEE MY SECOND ACCOMMODATION, adjoining but independent, which can accommodate 2 people or 1 couple with child. LOCATION Ideally located in the Hauts-de-France, 85 km from the gates of Paris and 3/4 hour from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, the "offices" space was built in the late 1980s in a small preserved village between Soissons and Compiègne, set back from the street, a stone's throw from the river. Pierrefonds is 20 minutes away by car and Reims is about 50 minutes away. Laon is less than 45 minutes away, and Chantilly and Parc Astérix are less than an hour away. Disneyland Paris is less than 1 hour 30 minutes away. Vic-sur-Aisne and its dungeon are 3.5 km from the cottage. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The "office" area is composed on the first floor of a library area and two quiet bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and toilet. Linens and towels are provided. On the ground floor are a large living room-kitchen, a large entrance and a toilet. -> DESCRIPTION OF THE FLOOR On the landing of the floor, a library area with two club-style armchairs has been created. The south-facing window offers a beautiful view of the valley. Thermal insulating curtains have been installed to preserve the heat in winter and the coolness in summer. The upstairs bedrooms are accessible through the library area, then a large glass corridor, which offers views of the courtyard. A double bed (160 x 200) is installed, as well as a small desk, a valet and a wardrobe. On either side of the bed, there are two bedside tables with lamps. The bedroom leads to a private bathroom, with shower, sink, toilet, ventilation by VMC and hairdryer. The window offers a beautiful view of the garden, not overlooked. - The pink room has an area of about 20 m2. A double bed (160 x 200) is installed, as well as a valet, a dresser, a Parisian wardrobe and a Voltaire armchair. On both sides of the bed, there are two nightstands with lamps. On request, a single bed can be added. The bedroom leads to a private bathroom, with shower, sink, toilet, ventilation by VMC and hair dryer. The window offers a beautiful view of the garden, not overlooked. DESCRIPTION OF THE GROUND FLOOR On the ground floor, the living room is a living room – kitchen of about 32 m2. It is equipped with two leather sofas, a large 4K TV (including Netflix), a Hi-Fi system, a large extendable table which allows, with its extensions, to easily accommodate 10 people. To the east, a large bay window overlooks the courtyard. Thermal insulating curtains have been installed to preserve heat in winter and coolness in summer. To the west, a French window gives access to the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped: washer-dryer, dishwasher, induction stove, range hood, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, two coffee makers (Nespresso and ground coffee) and a kettle. The kitchen is also equipped with pans, bowls, cutlery, bowls, mugs, plates and soup plates, kitchen utensils, glasses, wine glasses, beer glasses, etc. GARDEN DESCRIPTION The garden consists of a terrace area (to be developed in spring 2024), a flat garden and a sloping garden. The flat garden is not overlooked, unlike the sloping garden. The library area and the two bedrooms have beautiful views of the valley and the garden. OTHER AMENITIES The accommodation is equipped with central heating. Almost all of the windows (double glazed) are fitted with thermal insulating curtains. The facilities, showers, toilets, sinks, sink, curtains, sofas, bedding and linens (duvets, pillows, sheets, pillowcases) are new. Bed linen and bath towels are provided. There are two pillows and one duvet per bed. The most powerful 6E WIFI (FREEBOX DELTA) has been installed and is accessible throughout the cottage. To keep guests safe, the accommodation is equipped on each level with a fire extinguisher and smoke detector, installed in January 2024, as well as a fire blanket on the ground floor. The "office" space was completely converted, renovated and insulated in September 2023. Furniture and colors have been carefully chosen. New materials are combined with stylish, family and also antique furniture and decorations. The amenities have been designed to provide a pleasant and comfortable stay. The neighborhood is quiet and intended to remain so; parties are not allowed. Guest access Upon entering the property, guests can park their vehicle for free in the parking lot on the right as you arrive, in front of the house with gray shutters. Of course, you must not park in front of the garage doors, nor in the middle of the yard. The access door to the cottage is located on the courtyard side, at the very end of the courtyard. The key is in a key box, the code for which is provided the day before guests arrive. Other things to note Some exterior finishing and beautification work will be carried out gradually.
