Step into the beautiful oasis of your guest suite with private entrance connected to our 1950s home. The spacious layout provides plenty of room to relax and unwind. You'll be surrounded by art and decorative items we've collected over the years from our travels and from friends. It's full of personality and character, nothing cookie cutter or generic! The large bedroom has a Queen size dream cloud mattress and large closet with plenty of hangers and built in drawers. There is a queen size Aero bed available if needed. The suite features a full bathroom, updated a few years ago but still has the original 50s yellow tile so it's got a lot of character! The kitchenette is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to prepare light meals and snacks with ease, simple breakfasts or cook up something on the BBQ. There is a toaster oven, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, and a french press. There are local eateries nearby and our onsite guide book has all our favorite recommendations. The giant couch is great for watching movies (you'll have access to Disney+, Paramount and Prime Video), playing board games or curling up with a good book. There is a wonderful fireplace in the living room, however, it is decorative only! The backyard is the perfect place to sip coffee or wine and enjoy the view. You'll be surrounded by native and drought tolerant plants that attract a variety of birds, along with bees and butterflies. There are fruit trees including apricot, persimmon, orange, tangerine, lime, lemon, and apple. Seating area with gas fire pit is lovely cozy spot for stargazing. This space is family friendly, we've got a pack n play, toys, and games. Relax, unwind and enjoy all this area has to offer! You'll have the entire quest suite to yourself and access to our backyard. The only areas off limits are the internal stairs, garden storage room and our upper deck. Hi! I'm Alana. I live here with my husband, 5 year old, and poodle mutt dog -Kwazii. Quiet, calm neighborhood. Most of our neighbors have lived here for more than 25 years. Easy street parking! 3 blocks to a corner store/taco shop. About 20 min walk to downtown Santa Paula. Easy access to the 126 headed to Ventura and the ocean or the 150 headed to Ojai. This is our home, not just a rental! We live upstairs, have a 5 year old and a dog. We likely will not be onsite while you stay but will usually be nearby if you need help with anything. The dog is allowed in the downstairs space (never on the bed) and though he is part poodle, he is not fully hypoallergenic. If we are home, he absolutely LOVES people and other dogs but we'll keep him out of your way if you're not a dog person.
