Includes one Ocean View, solar powered upstairs suite, with separate entrance to kitchenette downstairs. We are in a tranquil & rural area just 7 miles from down town 4 miles from end of pavement for groceries and night life in the otro lado. Close to good surfing/fishing beaches. Great ocean view and starry nights. Full moons are particularly special as you get the moon rise on the mountain side and the moon setting over the ocean. The space Casa ViejaNueva is one solar powered upstairs suite (the "new") in a two story hurricane proof building. The downstairs (the "original/old") has a kitchenette and outside shower. The "Sunset suite," upstairs, has a King bed, TV/DVD player, a private balcony and bath with Tub with great Ocean views. The property is within a small gated community that is safe and secure. You will have access to solar freezer, in addition to a cooler (propane fridge in the pipeline). We have a Palapa for shade and outside entertaining. Lawn furniture & BBQ onsite. ATV available for rent. We love the quiet Ranchero feel of our neighborhood. From the beautiful song birds to the thunderous crash of waves, mother nature is all around us. Roosters crowing every morning, cows and bells meandering randomly. We have great Pacific views to the West and great Mountain views to the East. Sun and Full moon sets are breathtaking and extraordinary. We have rooster, as do neighbors in the vicinity. We are about 7 miles North of town and a vehicle is recommended. We have vehicles available to rent with advance reservation. The beaches in front (20 minute walk) of our place are spectacular. Great places to fish and watch whales or sun bathe (no swimming) with almost nobody around and we are just a few miles away from a world class surf beach, La Pastora. WIFI is onsite. Guest access The rental house is a total access space for guests. There is a shared bodega that houses the (shared) freezer, beach umbrellas, etc, as well as other items we may utilize or need access to for caring for the property- though we do our best to limit our use of this space while guests are on site. There is a storage space under the stairs in the rental that houses the all the solar equipment that is not for guest access. WIFI is also available onsite. Other things to note We are off-grid, meaning we are primarily solar powered. We don't recommend high draw electrical appliances, like hair dryers or curling irons, but we can always fire up the generator if needed. Just ask. We do have plenty of power for most modern electronic devices (cell phone chargers) and wifi is onsite.
