Welcome to our cozy & fun-filled western surf vacation rental in Defuniak Springs near the famous 30A highway! Our 3 bed, 2 bath 1250 sqft home that comfortably fits up to 6 adults is the perfect stay for a getaway or quick stop (plenty of parking, RVs welcomed). We've equipped our backyard with everything you need for a great time. Inside is fully furnished & comfortable, w/ plenty of space for you & your guests. Come & experience the beauty of the Florida panhandle's country & beaches! The space We've equipped our backyard with everything you need for a great time such as a propane BBQ grill, hammock, bonfire pit for roasting marshmallows or hotdogs, a glow-in-the-dark yard pong and corn hole set for some friendly competition day or night, a light-up frisbee for nighttime fun and even a kid friendly magnetic dartboard. If you're looking for some more low-key entertainment, we've also got oversized Jenga and Connect Four available to play on our picnic table outside which fits 8. Our swinging bench in our fully screened-in front porch is also a great place to unwind and listen to the birds or crickets chirp while outside or reading a book. Inside, the home is fully furnished and comfortable, with plenty of space for you and your guests. The master bedroom features a plush king-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom w/ a blow dryer provided, while the other two bedrooms each have a queen-sized bed. The second bathroom is conveniently located in the hallway in-between the other 2 bedrooms and the laundry room is available with a washer and dryer (if planning to use or believe it might be needed during your stay please let us know during booking or prior to check-in). Clean sheets, pillows and cases, duvet covers and inserts are provided during your stay to ensure all you have to bring are your vacation clothes and gear. Bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and bathmats are also provided for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up some delicious meals, including a stove, oven/toaster oven, coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and plenty of cookware and utensils. There's a dining area that fits 6 + cozy living room for hanging out together. Enjoy a movie night or catching up on your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV (Roku equipped), or curl up with a good book on the comfortable couch. When you're ready to explore, our home is less than half a mile from the public boat launch so you may bring your own boat or kayaks to enjoy all that Lake Juniper has to offer. Please message in advance of placing your reservation with me, so we may confirm the ability to accommodate the size of your boat. ​​ **SAFTEY NOTICE:** This is Florida and this body of water is a 600 acre spring fed lake. Even though I have not encountered or have seen alligators, this does not mean they are not located within the lake here. Please anticipate there will be Alligators, Snakes, Turtles, Birds, Fish and any other wildlife. This means this lake is not meant for swimming. Do not enter the lake to swim, do not leave children and minors nor pets unattended at any point in time. There are numerous trees and stumps throughout the lake - some are visible and many are not. Any boating should be done with extreme caution and at the boater's risk. Due to the trees and stumps throughout the lake, no jet skiing, tubing or any other boat related activities that will create waking/require open waters are permitted.** Our home is also less than 30 minutes from the famous Ponce de Leon and Morrison springs, where you can enjoy kayaking, tubing, swimming, and much more in the crystal clear waters. And if you're feeling like it's a beach day, the famous Emerald coast beaches are only a breezy less than an hour drive south with the famous Santa Rosa Beach less than 40 minutes away. We've put together a binder which you’ll find inside with some fun local activities and attractions to experience while you're staying with us in Defuniak Springs such as free wine tastings, local food trucks & farmer’s markets, a shooting range, Florida’s oldest haunted hotdog stand, where to find the best milkshakes and beignets or breakfast pastries, or delicious unlimited fried shrimp in town. Or if you need some pampering with a facial or massage or a touch up on your spray tan, we also know the spot. Roasting bonfire utensils provided. Please plan to turn off any lights, throw away food in the trash, and lock any doors and windows prior to your check-out.
