The Cube in the forest is a uniquely cozy space that gives a floating sensation amidst abundant natural light and lush greenery. It was built in 1993 by a coelacanth, resembling a thrilling spaceship-like structure, and we inherited it from the previous owner. We have opened it as a vacation rental with the desire for our friends to enjoy the relaxed and cool ambiance, which is both impressive and effortlessly stylish. The space Located in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture, the "Nasu Villa" is a unique wooden structure designed by Coelacanth, tailored specifically for a couple or small family. Situated on a 641.17m2 plot, this building comprises a basement and two above-ground floors, featuring an 'inactive space' that harmonizes with nature. This villa offers an ideal space for families seeking tranquility amidst nature. With an interior space of about 25 tsubo, it modestly stands surrounded by tall trees. The design respects both nature and budget, minimizing the contact area with the slope while maximizing vertical space. The "Nasu Villa" is distinctively designed with separate bathroom and bedroom spaces as per the client's needs. Each block has varying heights and depths, creating a sense of continuity. This results in a small L-shaped plan that provides a spacious feel. The design allows the two spaces to connect, detach, or swap depending on the users and time. The folding doors of the kitchen and small openings are mechanisms that enable spaces A and B to relate while existing as independent volumes. Located amidst the rich nature of Nasu, this villa is designed for families and is an ideal spot to disconnect from urban life and relax. The Cube in the forest is located in a villa area in Nasu Highland, at the foot of Mount Nasu in Nikko National Park. The secluded onsen "Shikanoyu," boasting a history of nearly 1,400 years, is approximately a 10-minute drive away, and the charming shops like galleries and miscellaneous goods stores near Kuroiso Station are approximately a 20-minute drive away. We kindly ask you to read the following carefully and thank you for your understanding. ⸻ [Natural Environment & Insects] Our property, Mori no Cube, is located within Nikko National Park, where many insects are naturally present. If you are sensitive to insects, we recommend avoiding stays from early summer to late summer. Insect repellent spray is available indoors for your use. [Access] We recommend arriving by car. One parking space is available directly in front of the property. Please use your own vehicle or a rental car from Nasushiobara Station. ※Please refrain from arriving with more than one vehicle. [Building Structure & Air Conditioning] Due to the skylight and open ceiling design, the space can feel hot in summer and cold in winter. ・Summer: An air conditioner is installed on the second floor. ・Winter: Gas heaters are provided on both the first and second floors. [Safety Notice] There are no railings on the wooden deck or the staircase to the second floor. Some elevated areas also lack barriers. Guests are responsible for their own safety, and we ask that special care be taken. Guests with small children may only stay if guardians can ensure strict supervision and safety management. [Minors Staying Without Adults] If minors will be staying without adult supervision, a signed consent form from a guardian is required. Without this, we may refuse the stay due to safety and contractual reasons. [Commercial Use & Events] For commercial photography or event use, different pricing will apply. Please contact us in advance to discuss. [Internet & Mobile Coverage] High-speed internet is available. However, mobile phone reception may be unstable. Thank you for your understanding. [Pets] To maintain hygiene and reduce allergy risks, pets are not permitted. We appreciate your cooperation in making the space comfortable for all guests. [Cleaning During Stay] No cleaning is provided during consecutive-night stays. If needed, additional cleaning may be arranged in advance for a fee. [Occupancy & Entry] Only the number of guests declared at the time of booking may enter the property. As required by lodging regulations, a security camera is installed at the entrance for identity verification. Guest identity will be confirmed upon arrival. [Smoking & Open Flames] Smoking is prohibited inside the entire property. Open flames such as bonfires and candles are also strictly forbidden. Any violations may result in charges for restoration. [Refrigerator] A small refrigerator (73 liters) is available. ※Please note: it does not include a freezer compartment. [Furniture & Décor] The space includes sentimental furniture and items, such as a beloved chair used by my grandmother and personal vinyl records. These are not mass-produced items for rental use, but carefully chosen pieces that create a unique and special atmosphere. ・Please do not bring any furniture outdoors. ・Use coasters or trivets when needed, and handle all items with care.
